I hate writing profile pages. I really do. I have just spent the last 10 minutes starring at the empty page, trying to come up with interesting things to say about myself. And ... surprise, surprise: There's nothing remotely interesting or special that springs to my mind.

I mean: mid-thirties German female; married, but no kids; working full-time as software developer; degree in Financial Mathematics; PhD in Applied Mathematics (okay, I'm showing off now, sorry); liking Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and as of late and especially Supernatural; liking computers and everything that has anything to do with them (awesome thingies!); disliking not much; brown hair, most times pulled into a ponytail; blue eyes and glasses. That doesn't sound too special to me. Well, maybe a bit geeky, but not special. And surely not interesting.

Writing - well, even though I'm not a native speaker, I tend to prefer to write in English. For once, I have been part of mostly English speaking online communities of various kinds ever since I start to prowl the internet and the web. And for another, no matter how well they choose their voice artists for the dubbing, they never get it quite right. In addition, once you start to watch the original shows, you just have to notice how much they loose in translation. So, I'll stick with English. And though I think, I'm quite good at it, I'm still learning (you just never stop to do that). So, please, feel free to point out any mistakes that you may find. I'd appreciate that.
