Dean and Castiel have established a tradition, of sorts, when it comes to their post-hunt celebrations. Unfortunately, Sam is sometimes a little more well-informed than he'd like to be about it. A short, brush-your-teeth-after-you-read-this piece of fluff, told from Sam and Dean's POV.

(Destiel) It's just one of those situations. One of those really awkward ones. You know, like when you're bitten by an incubus and have to sleep with your best friend to survive.

When Dean had followed Cas' future version back to his cabin he hadn't expected this. Pressed against a wall, neck bared for warm lips and a talented tongue.

Dean didn't mean to start praying to Cas... it just sort of happened.

Pre-slash (the sequel will have all the smut). The demons have a new trick up their proverbial sleeve, and after a pitched battle Castiel finds himself stuck in mortal mode, with two badly injured hunters. There's only one way to get them to safety.

'He knows', Dean let those words echo around in his head. But how could he when Dean himself had tried so hard not to 'know', not to admit any of it. He searched Castiel's eyes for a sign of exactly what and how much it was he 'knew', not willing to break the silence with any words. I took canon Dean/Castiel interactions from season 8 and pushed them just a little bit further. Spoilers through season 8 episode 17.
