Absentmindedly, Sirius lifted his hand to the top of his chest and brushed his warm fingers just under his collarbone to feel the spot where one of his more recent tattoos marked his skin. It was only a few tiny dots in comparison to some of his other work, but it was the most precious, and most meaningful by far.

"Drop the act!" He straightened up, stalking towards me and closing the distance between us. I took several steps back. "I want to marry you," he said bluntly. "But not this version of you. I want to marry the real you. The one that's still hidden under all of this pretence." "There is nothing hidden." "That's a lie."

He remained impassive, watching me calmly and I scoffed. "Unbelievable – if anyone else had sad that to you they would have had a one way ticket to the hospital wing or worse. Why not me?" "I care about you." "Don't say that," I snapped, gathering everything closer towards me. "Just tell me what I can do-" "Nothing. You can do nothing."

"Of course." He slid his arms around my waist and I reached up to loop my arms around his neck. "Did I tell you that you look beautiful?" "Only every time that you've approached me tonight." He grinned down at me and pulled me closer, "Which by the way has been a lot."

"It's alright Draco," I said softly, pushing his hand away from my wrist. "I'll just make sure that you don't need to concern yourself with this mudblood anymore." I walked away from him, wanting more than anything for him to call out my name, to say something, anything. I wanted him to stop me. But he didn't. After all, he was a Malfoy.

Marriage proposal accepted? Check. Marriage license applied for? Check. Divorce from your first husband filed? Not exactly...

A blood wedding sounded dark. It sounded unspeakable and dangerous, but it was the most beautiful thing that a person could ever do.
