![]() Author has written 1 story for Walking Dead. Hi guys :D xx My name is Lu Ann. I am a Ginger-nut with freckles and blue eyes. I have what one might call a typical family of four, with a perhaps larger than average extended family in England (and Scotland) and Italy - oh, and Canada. I live in an area with a lovely mix of a larger than average village, a nearby town containing the usual British retail stores, fair and not too distant access to London and the beautiful countryside life of the River Thames. I absolutely love a wide range of literature and media. Some other 'loves' include the Dorset Coastline in the south of England, the Cotswolds towards the west of England and Rome. I would love to visit Yellowstone in the US, and Daintree and Bondi in Australia - presuming I wind up with the funds to take me there :D I absolutely love nature and animals - I am a typical Brit who will watch any David Attenborough documentary, an iconic figure in the UK. But, I suppose my childhood idol has to be Steve Backshall (known by any Brit familiar with CBBCs 'Deadly 60') - it is predominantly thanks to this wildlife TV Presenter that I am so awed by our planet and the wondrous things it contains. I admit, my all time favourite animal since I was a little girl is the cheetah; a stunning, magnificent Big Cat that I would be honoured to see for myself in the wilds of Africa. My kind of TV . . . I really enjoy writing fan-fictions. Currently I have plenty of ideas to ink down on paper, but that is part and parcel of the slight problem I face. I am no saint - I have succumbed to writer's block more times than I can count. Therefore, to avoid irritating readers - and hypocrisy, as I know exactly how it feels to wait, wait, wait for a fic update, particularly one you really enjoy and has such great potential - I will try my best to develop a fic as quickly as I am able and to my highest ability and quality. Something else I imagine irritates many readers (and myself) are fics with poor grammar and punctuation - just poor English in general - especially, as I have already mentioned, you know inside some of those fics have potential to be brilliant, well outlined, well written and defined. I will try my best to make any fic I post an enjoyable read, including all these key points I have indicated. That being said, as I am sure any reasonable reader can understand, I am no saint and can also make my own (hopefully minor) errors in grammar and sometimes, though rarely, in punctuation. I am open to helpful criticism - though if any comment(s) I may receive from my fics' reviewers are generally cruel or subject to abuse, I will report you before deleting your comment. I will also notify any other writers of potential internet trolls, so please refrain from using any unwarranted and/or abusive language. Anyway, going back to my previous point, if anyone notices grammatical (etc.) errors within my work and finds this as irritating as I do, then please feel free to drop a hint in a review :D As you can see from above, I have broad interests within TV and film (and novels, though other than the obvious media adaptations I cannot currently remember the titles). I am the kind of person who has no preferential genre, though perhaps people may be able to identify some patterns considering the list above. I have two rules of thumb: (1) to try and enjoy just about anything I read and/or watch, and (2) avoid 'horror'. Please don't mistake this point as hypocrisy - I would like to try and watch 'horror' movies eventually, but I am the first to admit I might, just maybe . . . probably! :D scare easily! Not TWD Walkers or GoT White Walkers scare easily, but easily enough; for instance, I have yet to watch 'The Woman in Black' (2012) :D Anyway, I apologise for any disappointment regarding this next statement, but . . . I will not be writing fics for all of these fandoms (above). There are a key few that I enjoy writing for (and perhaps others that I cannot currently recall), maybe some that I will eventually try, but not all. Sorry x There are some book series that i really enjoy and I have a few ideas, though other than the movie adaptations (above) I have only found one, so far, as a listed fandom. It is a great series: 'The Midnight Breed', by Lara Adrian - there are novels and novellas, as well as the 'Hunter Legacy Series' spin-off. The genre is 'romance' and they are quite raunchy and explicit (so, not advisory for younger readers). The limited genre does irritate me a little; as far as I am aware the publishers chose 'romance', whereas (in my opinion) based on the content these books could be so much more. The ideas I have for these fics stem from more than one genre and explore the fandom Lara created to (hopefully) great depth. Maybe I will write romance fics, but these are highly unlikely to be explicit in content. Both of these book series' are available from Amazon Kindle (and likely elsewhere) if anyone is interested. I figure instead of repeating the same thing in every fic I publish, I will just state my Disclaimer here . . . Disclaimer: Any character, object, location, world or universe that I use in my fics belong to the appropriate writer, not me (unfortunately). Any Original characters, objects, locations, worlds or universes that I use in my fics are obviously mine. This includes the content of my fics, unless I use a specific scene from any TV show, film or novel, in which case the content partially belongs to the appropriate writer. Note - I do not tend to repeat scenes from TV shows, films or novels, though I could make an exception if I have a particularly good idea. Plus, I imagine the least Original thing I use will be alternate universes, but some ideas have stemmed from this genre so . . . let's wait and see :D If I discover for myself or am notified by a helpful 'citizen' that someone has stolen any of my Original work, from characters to content, I will report you! So, please don't. Thx. Progress Bar . . . I currently have ideas in the running for TVD/TO and TWD. The Walking Dead The dull, blank stain of a Walker It is a perfect sunny day, gathering supplies, enjoying each other's company: one succinct unit. But they can never truly escape the dull, blank stain of a Walker. One-shot; seven years after the break-out, so Carl is around 19 years old. |
