Hello There!

Though this account is new, I have actually been a fanfiction author for the past eighteen years, since I was fourteen years old (go ahead, do the math), and have written more stories than I can possibly think of off the top of my head. However, I have never written for the JAFF (Jane Austen Fanfiction) community before, so this fandom is new territory for me. Previously, I have dabbled primarily in Anime, which is still available to anyone who wishes to read it; please see my Favorite Authors section or the list below for a comprehensive list of pennames that you can find my writing under.

Anyway, as of this writing I am happily married with two children, one girl and one boy, whom I stay at home with because daycare is outrageously pricey these days. However, I genuinely love being with my kids and have no regrets, though I've been on something of a writing hiatus for a few years. I graduated from college with a BA in English and two minors (Film and American Studies), but I have yet to really use my education for any specific purpose. Well, my intention is to change that by getting back into authoring stories and, with any luck, publishing something someday. We shall see how it goes.

Fun Fact: I can actually credit writing (and this website specifically) for introducing me to my husband. I created my first account in July of 2001 and, literally a week afterward, got an email from the man who I married exactly ten years later (to the day). It's not an exaggeration to say that, even if I never publish anything ever, this hobby has changed my life.

As far as Jane Austen goes, I have been a fan of hers almost as long as I've been an author. When I was about fifteen, someone loaned my mother a copy of the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride & Prejudice starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle (if you're reading this, I'm sure you know which one I mean) and I was absolutely enraptured. I read the book next and fell even deeper in love with it. After that, I read all of the rest of her major novels and continue to do so about once a year, usually in October (for whatever reason), and so have more than a passing familiarity with the texts. I was even fortunate enough to study Northanger Abbey in my Gothic Lit class (fabulous course) in college and a quick and dirty discussion of Pride & Prejudice in one of my more general English courses. Last summer, I discovered JAFF and have been reading it every day since for a little over a year now. I adore the original works by Austen, but I also appreciate exploring it in depth, which is something that the JAFF community enables me to do. I hope to add a little something to it myself.

Please, if you like something I've written, leave a review. If you have constructive criticism, I am happy to hear that, too. All I ask is that you keep your comments respectful and don't complain with no purpose (telling me that you hate JAFF, for instance, is not respectful OR helpful).

With much affection,
