January 1922: Part of the 'Moving' AU. Charles and Elsie continue to build their life in Hull, visit Downton, go to Germany and eventually take their trip to Italy. Life happens along the way. This is, essentially, my take on series 4 and beyond (WAY BEYOND)!

Aspiring writer Charles Carson is still healing in the aftermath of WWII. As he begins to construct a book based on a collection of journals left by a distant relative, he uncovers the tale of a secret love just as he meets a woman who has the potential to either fill or break his heart. Kind of a Chelsie heavy tale but there's plenty of Cobert, Banna, Richobel and Baxley tossed in for good measure. Lots of medical drama, cussing and even some sexytimes. Stays close to canon in terms of major events, just transplanted into a modern setting! Spoiler-y?

Modern AU: Bookshop owner Charles and teacher Elsie are finally dating, sharing their first holiday together in Dubai after months building a relationship. Can they navigate their way through the demons of their past to find a way to stay together for the long haul?

This is a series of vignettes based on how Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes observe the other's voice the first time they have the occasion to hear the other express anger, guilt, fear, passion, consternation, silence, etc. The rating begins as a K but will change to a M as the story progresses. The chapters will form a complete story as we move along.

This story will follow Mrs Hughes and Mr Carson after the Series 5 Christmas Special, taking the story forward following Mr Carson's enchanting proposal of marriage. Other characters will feature as we see how those Downstairs and Upstairs react to the engagement x

Mrs. Hughes is upset and Mr. Carson tries to comfort her. This is in response to a chelsie-anon prompt from Tumblr. It is inspired by the recent release of photos from the Series 5 filming in Bampton of the War Memorial scenes. Slightly spolier-ish.

Sometimes, a little nudge is all it takes to make a butler show a little bit of interest in a housekeeper. The question is ... how will he go about showing her he is interested in more than friendship?

Elsie goes to Argyle every year at the same time. Except when she has to throw a last minute party that Lady Mary demands to have. All is normal, until a young girl shows up and throws everything off kilter.

Alternate Universe where Charles and Elsie live very different lives in Victorian times. Elements of As Time Goes By and Last Tango in Halifax.
