Who Am I and Why Am I Here?

I am an English Major drop-out who has been reading and writing for, let’s just say, a long time. Though not perfect at writing by any means, it doesn’t stop me from doing so. I live in the American Midwest and push paper around all day. I am also working on an original novel, which is taking up much of my writing time. But I will still try and post when chapters when I can.

I began this foray into fanfiction when I became hooked on fan fics from the Auelboard and then began to write them myself. Never been the same since, and now branching out into other fandoms. I think fanfiction is an invaluable way to try your hand at writing.

Writing Highlights:

2006 Began writing an original Novel - and never realized until then how hard real writing actually is. It still beats my day job.

Honorable Mention of a local paper's annual prose contest (won movie tickets)

Honorable mention in one of Writer's Digest monthly asignment contests in 2005 (first contest ever entered, won a book)

Nanowrimo winner 2004

May 5, 2000 - discovered ECfans and fanfiction. Shortly after, began writing my own FF (The Watcher), and found it well received. In the process, found others with the love of writing. As iron sharpens iron, we helped each other to improve.

1994 Switched college major to English and found my love of writing again.

8th Grade - wrote my first "story" Not Neccessarily Sin full of teenage angst. This one is saved for posterity!
