Author has written 1 story for Final Fantasy VII.

Name: Call me Chris or MiYu. Or, if you prefer my pen-name, Howl or Crescent. Keep it simple, you'll be happier that way. :D

Age: 20 now, 21 in a few weeks.

Location: Hicksville, USA. Or at least, that's what everyone who doesn't live here (and more than a few who DO live here) thinks it is. -.-

A little about me, my writing, and my philosophy on writing: I've been telling stories since I was a little kid, and I've wanted to be a novelist for as long as I can remember. I began writing fanfiction in the fifth grade (a Pokemon fanfic I may or may not post here), and I haven't stopped yet. One thing many people notice is that I use a lot of OC's, a few fan characters (FC's), and a lot of my own ideas and theories. If you're one of those people that hate originality and creativity in fanfiction, don't bother reading my work. After all, the FF.net slogan is "Unleash Your Imagination". :P

OC? FC? Wut? - An Original Character is a character that comes totally from the mind of the writer. A Fan Character is a character that comes from the mind of the writer but was made to follow the rules of a fandom. OC's can survive as characters in an original story, whereas FC's would have someone screaming 'copyright infringement!'. Major changes to the FC would have to be made for it to be an OC, and technically the reverse could also be true. There are also, to me, characters that are kinda somewhere in-between.

A note about 'mary sues': Bono of U2 fails every sue-test in existence. If real people can fail Sue Tests, then so can characters and still not be Sues. I try very hard to make my characters as believable and realistic as the canon allows without them being carbon copies of characters I've seen before. Long story short: not every single OC in existence is a Sue - I know this, and I thus give every story with an OC as a main character a chance. I only hope people do the same for me.

That being said, however, I DO hate actual Mary Sue's when I see them. What's an example of a Mary Sue to me? Isabella Swan from the amazingly over-rated, much loved and hated, so-bad-its-fun-to-make-fun-of Twilight series. Not going into the deep psychological analysis that many much, much smarter than I have done, and only going by what the writer wants us to think, we have a girl that: only goes after pretty, SPECIAL boys (because those are the only ones worth going after, rite? :B), a 'klutz' whose clumsiness is her only fault but isn't really a fault (as it never has any actual consequences), has super-special-awesome powers that have no basis in the canon...or logic (she's the ONLY one that vamps can't mind-read or future-read, the ONLY one who can have a half-vampire baby, the ONLY one who, upon becoming a vampire, gets godlike powers that can end the conflict without even a fight...the list goes on and on), who everyone in the story either loves (without much reason other than her super-special-awesomeness that is never really explained) or hates (out of jealousy, and jealousy alone). SHE is a Mary Sue at its worst--PUBLISHED.

R&R?: While I enjoy positive reviews, appreciate constructive criticism, and respond to both..I will never beg for a review anymore. Anyone reading my crap at all is enough of an honor, and I realize this now. I also respond to, and then promptly delete, flames. So, if your review goes "poof", it was because I counted it as a flame. Example: "u suck go die in a fire", "stupid self-insert characters. hated it. quit writing", and "lol".

Why I got a FF.net Account: As much as I love deviantART, writing is generally ignored on there. As this site is nothing but writing, I don't think that will ever be the issue here. Still, dA's a place for my publishable works. So, I'll post my publishable stuff on dA and my fanfiction on both dA and FF.net.

This is my deviantART account: MikazukiYuki

This is my website, which I haven't updated in a while. Been to busy with both an OCT on dA and, of course, life: MikazukiYuki's Stories.

More info to come later when I've had time to think up something cooler to say. XP

09-OCT-11 : Falling back into fanfiction again. I still have that OCT to deal with on dA, and a job besides, but I was going through my old games while rearranging the furniture of my room and rediscovered FFVII. Forgot how ridiculously good it was, how long it has withstood the test of time. This made me dig out Advent Children, which in turn made me realize I hadn't seen the newer version (ACC) yet. I went and watched it. And fell in love with Sephiroth's character all over again and wanted to explore it, dissect it, play with "what if...?"s. So...I looked at First Order again. Now that I know something of Crisis Core - not too much besides the info I get from the intarwebz and the secondhand info from my friends with PsP's - I know that my plot is so non-canon that I'd have to declare it a major AU.

Well, slight to moderate AU is to be expected with an OC as a main. There's no way of getting around that, since you're adding someone who wasn't there originally and their mere presence can often change the course of the story, even if only a little. But I didn't want to waver from the FFVII canon so far as to make it unrecognizable save for the appearance of canon characters.

What does this mean?

It means a rewrite. A complete reworking of the plot. I'm sorry to everyone who followed the original First Order and were expecting eventual updates but I just can't continue with it the way it is with what I know now. Hopefully this will make it better and keep me willing to work on it longer.

Evidence of Sephiroth's Humanity by dantesdarkqueen reviews
A series of oneshotsdrabbles that basically show that Sephiroth is just as human as you and me. Most of them will be humorous, and all are preNibelheim. Latest: the saga comes to a close. Thanks, everyone, for your support and for reading this!
