AU. For the two years after her father's death, Christine finds that she can no longer sing like she used to. When she meets mysterious and distant composer Erik Chanteur, she feels strangely compelled to sing, and takes up his offer to teach her music. However, she finds over time that Erik Chanteur might not be as cold as he seems, and is determined to melt his frosty exterior.
