Weird... I'm back?

It feels weird to be back. It's been four years since I last posted a chapter on FF.net. Since then I have finished college and I'm just about done with my graduate work. When I first started, I was an awkward pre-teen who needed a creative outlet (as creative as fanfiction can be, I suppose). When I chose to quit after seven years of dedicated writing, I thought I had grown up and could no longer watch anime and devote countless hours on work that would never become published or credited for anything than sheer fandom.

Well, I guess I haven't grown up all that much. Lol.

Granted, I really forgot about the FF.net world; I clearly moved on. But one day a couple of months back, I was lying in bed unable to fall asleep. Reading is my typical sleeping aid, but since I had just finished a book on my iPad—which, btw, didn't exist back when I wrote actively!—there was nothing for me to read without having to pay for another. Then I suddenly remembered fanfiction and became amused with the idea of revisiting something I hadn't been to in years. I read a story...and then one story became two...and two became three... I've read works by awful writers and works by writers whose last chapters made me sigh wistfully.

Then all of a sudden, I wanted to write again. After much debate, and for the sake of all those people out there with iPads who have trouble sleeping at night, I decided to come back and try again. For fun.

So I'm gonna start new ones.
