This account beelongs to me, Erica aka Alphania/Alpha. I'm from Sweden and my second language is English. Our schools begin teaching english when we are about thirteen years old, but it's not very informative and most of us end up pretty crappy at it in the end.

The first time I ended up on this site was through reading a fanfic, but by reading others work I got the urge to try it out myself. I had just begun writing my first fanfiction "A trial of love" whis is about Garrus and Shepard in Mass Effect. And boy was that hard work, when I started out my english was outstandingly horrible, it was a disaster to say the least. There where tons of spelling errors and sentences that made no sense whatsoever, in addition to that my crappy story telling did not help at all. But part of the reason why I wanted to write my own fanfic was to improve both my english and narration. I stopped writing "ATOL" after 18 chapters and I do think that I improved alot, the chapters got longer and fuller, I went back and corrected the previous chapters to touch up them as well. Now I have a kind of love/hate relationship to that fanfic, it was my baby at the time, and I did really pour my whole soul into writing it. But before I got to end it I lost all motivation and ended up with a writers block that never ended. I've tried to start up my fanfic writing a few times but never found enough motivation to get really absorbed in it.

At this current time, I've hit a wall in my life, by working too much and excessive studying plus alot of personal problems, I got run-down. And it's been like this for months with me slowly trying to regain my energy and will to live. Finally I found some motivation in something, and that is the fanfiction I just started up "The dream of a moon princess" (Not too sure about the name yet, might change that later on). My goal this time is yet again to improve my narration and english vokabulary, because I've noticed from my previous attempt that it works great to write stories. I love the english language and its colourful describing words, and though I might succeed better by writing in swedish, I want my story to reach out to a broader audience. My biggest challange now is to keep my motivation running and actually finish this story, I really, REALLY want to finish it and not give up halfway through. My problem is that I often dive in way to deep in the beginning and spend so much time and effort in it that I burn out. I'm just that kind of person, I pour my heart and soul into the thing that I have right before me.

I think that story telling is a really good therapy and I recommend it to anyone who has psychological problems, writing "ATOL" helped me out of a really deep depression. And I'm hoping that my new fanfic will work out in the same way, that it will help get me back on my feet.

Well... After all that rambling I hope that whoever reads this might find something worthwhile, and that if you read any of my fanfics that you'll enjoy them. I take great pleasure in reviews and hope that you'll leave a comment or whatever if you feal like it. I will listen closely to critique and take everything into consideration for coming chapters.
