Hello, My name is Angie. It's a pleasure to meet you. "Meet" is a slight stretch but you get the idea. ;)
I'm not sure how to properly write profiles... I'm not very modern or cool but I'll do my best :D
I haven't been alive for to many years, but I do spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Making 'sweetheart cookies' or closing my eyes and flipping to a random recipe in my Nana's cook book and making it. That's when I found my love of writing, when I re-wrote the recipes using my own words, it started becoming obnoxiously constant and over-the-top when I started using adjectives for cookie dough!
I love, love, LOVE anything old or antique. I don't know where I get that from, but I love things like old building with the paint chipping off the walls or old rocking chairs with the fabric worn down. I like to go to second hand shops, buy dresses and then go to craft stores, buy my own lace and ribbon and make my own dresses :) Other than that, I love country music! I learnt guitar when I was 10, when I found an old book with the basic chords to "Smoke on the water" it grew from there. I'm not cool in anyway, shape or form. I'm old school. I wear girly, flowy dresses with cowboy boots, I love bright colours that make people smile, I curl up on the couch with a hot water bottle and a book on Friday night instead of going to parties, I'm awkwardly pale, even though I'm from QLD Australia! I read Shakespeare for fun and speak very formally for my age and even though I don't particularly like it, I live in this place called real life, it's lovely there, but I prefer whimsical, fairytale lands that I can fit into better.
Not very cool in anyway!
That's why I write. I helps me get out of real life land and go into that make believe land I love. It's nicer there.
