During the summer of 1998, another series of murders shakes the town of Woodsboro and reunites Gale and Dewey whose relationship is at present a little rocky. As Gale and Dewey try to solve the case while having difficulty communicating with each other, the sadistic killings continue and escalate. The killer seems to have a specific target in mind, and this time, it isn't Sidney.
