you'd think, that when someone looks at me, that they'd see something; a pair of eyes pleading for recognition, or a hand waving for their attention.

But no.

they look through me like the peice of glass that seperates them from the food at a salad bar.

You'd also think, that when someone hears me, they'd listen; that they'd hear my opinion, process it, and respond with their own.

but no.

they stare blankly, make some lame excuse, and leave.

you might think that i'm just making this up, exagerating the truth in a cry for attention.

but no.

i'm saying the truth, and putting it up here, so that the next time you talk to someone, or even see them, know that they might have some thing to say.

and just listen.
