Okay so this isn't just a The Mentalist story. It's a story about various couches in TV shows and books and what they think and feel about the characters of the show or book. They have told her that he is dangerous, they have told her that he is intelligent, they have told her that he is resourceful. What they haven't told her is that, for a Time Lord, he has a habit of wasting an awful lot of it." It takes River a while to appreciate this habit of the Doctor's.

A one-shot story post Reichenbach to return, a story of two separate lives and a reunion, inspired by the wonderful song of the same name by Pink Floyd and dedicated to my good friends who travelled to London last year, and those who couldn't make the journey and were sorely missed, but most of all, for Jack63kids who suggested writing it!

Sherlock knew John would be angry with him when he came back. After all, he's not that much of an idiot. But what he didn't expect was for John to pull out his bisexuality enough for a quick, angry wall shag before he ran. Of course there are more problems with this than the obvious ones.

During the hiatus a homesick Sherlock encounters a version of John on a beach in Corsica.

After season 4 as I imagine it, John really needs some time to heal. Sherlock knows the perfect place. For the current Let's Write Sherlock challenge. Probably overrated. More pre-romance that romance.

There are multitudinous ways in which it could end.

He knows that a reflection is nothing more than a shiny surface presenting an image of what is directly in front of it, yets finds himself captivated by his own image. Especially in his two years Away.

Sherlock has been abducted and experienced something he'd never have expected, leaving him with an actual shock for once. And then there's John, willling to do anything to help; well, they're both in for a surprise as they try to work it out between them. Please be aware that this story deals with sexual assault. A one shot of a relationship, a separation, a half-life, a reunion and a return to normality - well, when I say normal...not a word I use often for Sherlock and John. A short piece of suggestive prose for a Sunday afternoon :) Over rated at M, because I worry that T isn't quite enough :)

Sherlock's heart is far from normal...and it refuses to follow expectations even for its category. A season 3 rewrite, among other things. Another fill for Let's Write Sherlock challenge 11, this one a magical realism-type.

Sherlock uses John. Of course he does. Sometimes John isn't aware of it. Sometimes, he is. This is one of those times. May be read as following 'Collision Course'. Missing scene from HLV that turns a universally accepted idea from the episode on its head.

After Sherlock's collapse in 221b, John goes to have words with Mycroft. Missing scene from HLV.

Pining, requited, and unabated spates of 'first kiss' fluff. Post Mary, AU, mildly cracky. John lays a smooch on Sherlock's nape in passing. The world does that thing it does when it wobbles and Sherlock practically falls off his own pins.

It's common knowledge that it takes time to heal. For John and Sherlock, it also takes each other. One-shot, Johnlock, set sometime after Sherlock's return. Minor spoilers for TEH.

Set after 9x14. Sam wakes up to find Dean gone. A month later, he receives an email with a video file attached. It's from his brother, and it explains the solution to their problem. In the end, it is all too simple. Warnings for main character death.

Mary and Sherlock are equally protective of John. Which is why Mary gets a text from the detective one day... Set a month after Guy Fawkes Night and before the events of HLV.

Dying was the simplest thing in the world. Getting rid of all the people who would never allow you to die... that's another matter entirely. The hardest work Jim did before the Fall was getting the other players to heed their exit lines. [A birthday present, for somebody called Zoe, who has a great friend called Eden. Sorry it's such a sad thing - I blame this bloody weather]

After the adrenalin rush of a case Sherlock realises that he's been injured. Unwilling to go to hospital, he asks John to patch him up. Lack of supplies drives John to use unusual methods and old fashioned remedies. A birthday story for Sherlockiannightmare, rated M because she likes Johnlock!

Sherlock started to write again, but without touching the page. He wrote out every word with his pen hovering a hair's breath above the paper. His hand shaped the words in the air "I'll work as fast as I can, John. Your friend, always, Sherlock". Post-Reichenbach. Silent letters home to John chronicle Sherlock's time away and his return. After the fall, Sherlock finds himself alone and plagued by thoughts of the past, or more specifically, thoughts of John. He finds himself thinking things he shouldn't think, and feeling things he shouldn't feel. And when Moriarty sends him one final case from beyond the grave, Sherlock's whole world is suddenly turned upside down. Johnlock

Sherlock attempts to matchmake Mycroft with Lestrade. Mycroft goes mental. Featuring a constantly swearing Lestrade, a Holmesian inability to remember a certain name, and that one song by Akon.

"...Sherlock…please," John asked, his voice suddenly dropping to a whisper. It was the break in his voice, though, that caused Sherlock's eyes to snap to his almost instantly. And that was when he knew. Looking into John's eyes, and seeing that desperate, pleading look…he'd never seen him look so small. And he knew that he had to say it. 3x03 AU

Noise is constant in this universe of theirs, alternating between a low-pitch buzz and roaring clamour. There is always heat – without it there would be no life. It spikes and falls, from petulant chills to passionate blazes, it shifts and turns and morphs, as do they. Every emotion has a wavelength and a temperature if its own. Every shift of soul sends a sound through the vacuum.

After a traumatic incident, Sherlock becomes trapped in the darkest part of his Mind Palace. The only thing that can still reach him is John's voice.

It is never a good idea to kidnap someone in order to get what you want. But to kidnap the British government himself, together with his little brother, and hurt said brother in the process? Definitely even less beneficial. And don't forget about a certain former army doctor, slowly starting to worry about his flatmate. - Two-shot.

You never thought anything like this would happen to you, and sometimes, you still wonder why it did. Sherlock/John, Johnlock, Post-Reunion.

"I don't suppose I can persuade you to stay, John?" asked Mycroft, shooting an annoyed look at the cab where Sherlock sat imperviously. Imperiously even, Mycroft thought. Of course. John dumped a duffel bag against the small pile of suitcases on the footpath outside 221B Baker Street and said, "No," in that tone of voice that Mycroft had heard so many times before.

Just because Sherlock stopped, doesn't mean the Work has to. London is John's city now and he will keep it together with stitching, string, his healing, the food off his table, and sometimes the clothes off his back. John Watson keeps going. He's good at that.

John misses Sherlock's violin. And he is not the only one. Sherloc POV; First Person; One shot.

...And the punch line is for their ears only. / When Greg started yet another drugs bust, he expected the decomposing ears and infuriating detective, but not the war hero husband leaning against the kitchen counter. Johnlock AU.

Even though his nightmares have changed, every night John Watson goes to war. Sherlock is the scorpion; John is the frog. John reflects on his friendship with Sherlock after The Fall, beginning with a child's fable. But then, their life has been likened to a fairytale before.

Sherlock and John have all kinds of ways to communicate. Written for the come at once challenge, so be prepared for explicit content.

And that he's allowed to be part of it.

"All in all they agree that they've done good, the proof lying in the years spent growing old, traveling and doing what they loved. But most of all it came in spending every possible moment together, a bond no one could ever dream of breaking." Johnlock through the years following the Fall.

John and Sherlock meet. What happens next depends on you.

Before taking his tragic fall, Sherlock pays a visit to Mycroft. /For Sylvia.

The revelation that Sherlock is alive is the first trace of hope that John has had in a long time. Now he waits in a park to meet with his best friend again. This story contains angst, heartbreak, heartache, hope, love (not necessarily in that order).

In between Sherlock's death and return, John struggled. With the help of friends both old and new, John learns how to at least cope with the loss of his best friend. He learns how to live again and discovers new things to keep him going, even if it's not the same anymore. Post-Reichenbach. COMPLETE. Rated for violence & hints of adult themes. (In Between 'verse)

Sherlock returns to London to find John hasn't taken his death too well while John discovers that his world might not be as shattered as he thought. It took six years for Q to get the name, but only two weeks for him to get what came with it.

Discovering that John had spent twelve months volunteering at a MSF trauma hospital in Afghanistan was surprising. But not as surprising as the discussion that followed. A post-Reichenbach conversation and character study.

Just before the Fall, too late to change the ending, John recieves a 'friendly' warning, from a 'friend'. Really. The rifle between them has nothing to do with it.

Sometimes everything is just too much and too little for Sherlock. John however, has a way of dealing with this. Four words, five syllables and Sherlock is alive again: "Show me something new."

Child AU. Spock and Jim were always the ones to choose their own destinies. Even when the universe was trying to choose for them. I think the implication that there is at least a little Kirk/Spock here is obvious. Rated for safety. Genres are hard...
