Story begins with the sailboat accident in SCARLETT then becomes a work that has little to do with the aforementioned novel. No one goes to Ireland, action primarily in Charleston and Atlanta.

This story begins some years after the final scene in GWTW.

Six years have passed since Rhett left Scarlett and when he unexpectedly returns, the three men in her life, Rhett, Ashley and Wade, pull her in three different directions.

Ten years ago, Rhett sent Scarlett divorce papers. To his surprise, she signed them immediately, and promptly took her children and disappeared from his life. Ten years later, a chance meeting with Wade gives him the opportunity to discover: What Happened to Scarlett?

Fourteen years after Rhett left her, Scarlett receives an unexpected visitor who reawakens emotions and recalls a life she has never quite been able to forget.

A modern twist on GWTW. Tenuously follows book plot. Episodic style. All scenes take place roughly "now" no matter how much time elapses in the story. Chapter 28: Epi-epi-epilogue

This is what I think happened to Scarlett and Rhett. I have set the story in March 1874 - six months after Melly has died and Rhett has left Scarlett. Scarlett is trying to carve out a new life for herself in Atlanta when Rhett suddenly reappears. NOW COMPLETE

I wanted to shake up this popular what-if. Short. Meta-canon. Editing other GWTW story made it impossible to resist writing something new. One-shot.

Set ten years after the end of GWTW. Scarlett and Rhett have since reconciled and are asked to watch over their grandchild for an evening. Rhett decides to tell their granddaughter, Elizabeth, quite the inventive fairy tale to pass the time. Interesting events occur that include a lace blanket, a tantrum, and a happy resolution.
