Author has written 1 story for StarTrek: The Original Series. Hi! I'm LadyHitchhiker! Don't panic! I suppose you are wondering a little bit about myself. I am a poetess, a novelist, a songstress, and I am starting to write fan fiction. I don't have much, but I too feel the cry of unfulfilled storylines, of alternate storylines that I would love to have seen play out on my delightful television screen! I love X-Files, Star Trek (especially the original series - I read every book I can get my hands on!), SeaQuest DSV and SeaQuest 2032, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. I also love Scrubs, La Femme Nikita, and boundless other television shows. If I left anything out that's really important I'm sure I can dabble later. I also adore Monty Python. Oh and Douglas Adams - that is how I got my handle over a decade ago, not because I'm trying to pick up men. I am VERY happily married and disgustingly faithful even if I still secretly drool over Mulder, but even my husband knows about that. He teases me unmercifully about "Da-vid Du-chov-ny" as he calls him in sing-song while he sways and flexes his chest. I keep insisting that it's not David Duchovny I was in love with. I was in love with Mulder, but he doesn't get it. They're not the same person. But now that Scully and Mulder are finally together I have enough peace to be able to be with my husband. My big hunky teddy bear husband. Me-ooow.. On a side-note, if you are actually interested in the IRL me, I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and am a veteran fast food manager. In my spare time when not writing or trying to coax my husband into more time in the bedroom (wink wink nudge nudge say no more) I rescue animals, drool over classic cars, sing constantly, and try to save the world. I'm a superhero without any powers besides a high libido and a very high empathy rating. Maybe I'm part Betazed. Oooooooohhh... I go out of my way to be nice to everyone, and try to save the world a little bit every day. I am a crusader. A Captain Kirk if you will. Or a Care Bear as Bridgette calls me at work. And as far as my husband and I go, we have been together now for over four years. We have two cats named Linus and Mandarin. We love Linus and Mandarin very very much and that will have to be enough for now until we are ready to think of kids again .. which we're not. Before anybody asks the insensitive question, no we don't have any children. We had a little girl (six years old) and she passed away in '05 of menigicoccal bacterium. And no, you can't just "have another kid and make the pain go away, or replace her," she's not a f#$ing pair of shoes you can just go out and replace. We are not at this point even discussing kids so please don't be insensitive and ask. And don't talk to me about how annoying your kids are because you're lucky to have them. Maybe time for some favorite quotes? "A strong man stands up for himself. A stronger man stands up for others." -- Ben/Otis, "Barnyard" "Mmmm... Tow-wel." -- Black Betty, "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" "And it harm none, do what ye will." -- Wiccan Crede -- I try to live by this every day. "For what can if profit a man if he cannot chew gum and walk at the same time?" -- Liz Black "Never deprive anyone of hope; it may be all they have." -- anonymous "Awww... he's gettin' eatin' by a shark!" -- Gir, "Invader Zim" Don't know how much more left I have in this profile so I better wrap it up. Live long and prosper folks. So long and thanks for all the fish! Keep in touch! |
