Author has written 1 story for Dragon Ball Z, and Naruto. Update 9/26/13: It has been 7 months, and five days since the last update. As of this writing, I'm on the fence regarding whether or not I will continue the story. While a slight muse has returned, interest in the subject has severely fallen. I have kept up with the current chapters in Naruto, and to me it has become something that is no longer what it set out to be in regards to originality that I found interesting. Sure, I disliked naruto, but what I disliked was something original in itself. Now I feel that Naruto is trying to become something it just isn't. It is coming to an end and in some people's opinion, it can go out with a bang (literally in some chapters) and things get more chaotic. This doesn't completely mean I find the new chapters boring. It's caused me to lose nearly all interest I had in it. I'm still reading it just to see how the story will end, but Naruto has just lost that originality that, while I despised it since it was a bandwagon anime for the early to mid 2000s, I held some interest (enough to want to change things slightly and make a crossover). In a blunt statement, it's becoming too much DBZ like. I decided to write the story to show the sheer difference in ability and how each series viewed conflict (though the telling of the conflict would have been in later chapters). I had hoped to use DBZ as the medium to get Naruto to get to a similar level, but with latest chapters, it renders things mute. Though to work with this, I am deciding on a cutoff point with the manga. Since many chapters have released since the last update, this will be more feasible in creating something that will deviate from Naruto's Canon story-line in a way I wanted. More information has been released, and that simply means more information for me to better incorporate. Even with a possible cutoff point in the manga, since my overall interest in the Naruto series has come to the point of just reading it to see how it ends, my story, Desires of the Wicked, will likely be discontinued. The likelihood of adoption is slim since there's a certain way I envisioned the story going that only a person who's 80% DBZ fan and 20% Naruto intrigued fan can tell. This update is rambling, I know. I haven't been in any media site for a vast majority of the 7 months, and so articulating my entire thoughts into a coherent statement is not at it's best. If any are interested in adopting the story, contact me. If what you have in mind seems good, we'll have a slight brainstorm, and you can take it from there. |
