We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven! Contest

Our blog is dedicated to exploring the altered universe and men of Twilight. Each month on our blog we do a different “Character Study”. We do our best to recommend fics that feature this character in a way that we like. This doesn’t mean they have to be a part of the main pairing, but rather that we liked the portrayal of that character. So, we're hosting this contest based on exploring those wonderful, dirty, psychotic, bloodthirsty, tough, beautiful, larger than life, horny, Godly in their own ways, nomadic men. The recent explosion of nomad-related fics out there has been phenomenal, and we want more.

June will be Nomad month. Why? Because some of them are just beyond worthy and we need to pimp these fuckers out. To help us find some quality fics on these sexy vamps, we are hosting this contest. We know there are some great stories to be told about these guys, so let’s have ‘em!

Requirements:

Pairing must include at least one of the Nomadic men (i.e. Peter, Garrett, Randall, Charles, Alistair, James, Joham, Laurent, etc).

We will only be accepting AU stories, AH stories are not permitted for this contest. Why? Because we're not interested in 'human and homeless'...

M Rating – We like smut, so feel free to include lemons in your story. This also means you must be 18 or older to submit or read these entries.

Must be an original one-shot between 2500-10,000 words written specifically for this contest, OR a one shot outtake from another story that can stand on its own.

You are also free, of course, to extend to a multi-chap fic after the contest, if you like (and, we highly recommend that you do this…)

Proofreading is strongly encouraged. If you don’t have a Beta, JaspersDestiny has graciously offered to do so for your entry to the contest. Remember: good-quality is key here.

Feel free to collaborate if you wish.

You may enter as many stories as you like.

We reserve the right to refuse entries that do not follow the rules of this contest.

We also reserve the right to refuse entries that are truly, morally disgusting, but we will validate each story and offer feedback with the author if we take issue with something in your entry. We’re fairly cool cats, so we can’t really spell out what we would consider a truly heinous entry. Let’s just deal with it when we get there. Entries to be accepted until the end of day EST on 5/23/10. Once your entry has been posted on FFn, send a message to the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven! Contest’s FFn profile page with the link to your submission so we can validate your entry and add it to this page and the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven! Contest C2.

Winners & Voting

There will be two winners: one chosen by the public via a poll using the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven! Contest’s FFn profile and one chosen by the Lambs.

Public voting will take place between 5/24/10 and 5/30/10.

On 6/1/10, we will announce the winners with a special post on the ALASL blog and an update on the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven! Contest, C2, and ALASL FFn profiles.

Prizes

The winner chosen via the public poll on FFn will receive two things: a banner designed by one of the resident Lambs and mentions on the We Don't Need No Stinkin' Coven! Contest’s FFn profile page, C2, ALASL’s blog and FFn profile page, and some of the Lambs’ profile pages.

The winner chosen by the Lambs will receive the same as the public poll winner PLUS a special gift to be finalized with the winner(s) upon their success.
