![]() Contrary to what you see here, I do write--but knowing I have a hard time meeting deadlines on a consistent basis, none of my work has been posted. Instead, when I can, I draw. My homepage is my DeviantART account, primarily for fan-art nowadays. As a frustrated perfectionist, I haven't updated in ages. I like slash, as you might have noticed. Fandoms I read the most include: Gundam Wing, my first fandom ever, which you will have to pry from my cold dead fingers. 1x2x1 is mandatory in everything but gen-fics. Us old-hats are very set in our ways, you know. I am obsessed with Heero-centric fics(he's kind of hard to write, but when it is done well, it is glorious). Loving Duo's insane personality comes naturally. Put them together and I am one happy bunny. Harry Potter, which... I have to say, the bigger a fandom is, the weirder it seems to get. There's something for everybody, but I'll get these obsessions with trendy plot devices that make me feel like a pregnant woman craving pickle-flavored ice-cream. I'm not really fixated on a specific pairing, since the ones I am most inclined towards are Sirius/Remus and Harry/Cedric. Theirloveissodoomed, sadface. There are some pairings I avoid like the plague. I am interested in character building gen fics with interesting premises, but pairings are mostly unavoidable. Avengers. It's new, and has a LOT of comedic potential as far as ensemble pieces. Or just in general! Check out the toasterverse; if you don't know what it is, then go do it *now*. I like to stick Harry in there, too, because Steve needs someone to commiserate with about how embarrassing trading cards are, Tony needs to be kept on his toes, and Bruce and Harry need to have a chat about werewolves and how it's not easy being green, but we love Bruce anyways. I have a feeling Harry and Thor would be besties, and besides, the more confused SHIELD is and the more Fury swears, the more entertained I am. Cheers! DCU/Justice League, or basically anything with Batman and Superman in it including crossovers of Batman Begins and Superman Returns. Clark/Bruce(Blark?), who, to quote canon, fit each other... like hand and glove. Seriously. I'm astonished this pairing isn't more popular. Shame on you all. Star Trek, usually of the 2009 movie-verse, since I haven't even remotely seen all of the original episodes and I am easily confused. Favorite pairings are Spirk, obviously, and sometimes Chekov/Sulu since they're hilarious and adorable. Sulu is amazing, and so is George Takei, but I'm sure you already know that. Which brings me to a related point, fellow readers-of-fanfiction: don't take everything you read so seriously. Yes, bad!fic is atrocious(I recommend a healthy, cathartic sporking), but everything under the sun has(supposedly) been done--and everything under the sun(and otherwise) has been twisted into a horrifying bastardization of what you once knew and loved. Just hit the back button, for goodness sake. Steps off the soapbox, picks it up and takes off with it* |
