![]() Author has written 15 stories for Ouran High School Host Club, Warriors, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, Mortal Instruments, Carry On, My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, Rise of the Guardians, Tangled, Brave, 2012, Infernal Devices, Cassandra Clare, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I suppose that you may want to know why I'm called XblackcatwidowX.
I'm not a widow, but I am one of those crazy cat people. Not necessarily a black cat fan, but XgraycatwidowX or XwhitecatwidowX didn't really sound right to me. Then why not XcatwidowX? May as well trim it down further to XcatX. You know what, X works too. In fact, I should have just gone with . Sorry, I got carried away. How rude of me. My point is, there is no ring to those other names (ring is very important), and Black Widow of the MCU is pretty cool anyway, so it all works out for me. Not that any of you care about the origin of my dumb username haha. MOVING ON. I LOVE to read fiction that makes me laugh out loud, even though it makes me look like a lunatic when I'm in public. Which I am. A lunatic, I mean, at least for Queen Jo Rowling's beautiful creation. For Lord of the Rings. For anime. For anything dark and angsty which fuels my emo side, which I still have not grown out of (unfortunately). Am I the only weirdo out there who thinks that there's something rather beautiful about sadness? I won't deny that I'm a bit of a freak, once I'm shielded from the public eye. And those who know that side of me... I salute you. Well done for surviving, but I wouldn't change myself for the world. As my great pal, Charles Bukowski, said... "Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must live." Ah, Chuck, you are so wise. Um. So now we have established that I am a masochist and enjoy pain. Not in the sexual sense, I just like crying sometimes. So I tend to seek out the angstiest of fics so that I can bundle up in the corner of the house at night and cry my eyes out. Yes. That is me. On another note... let's see, society is split into many different categories, whether it be the people who pee in the shower and the people who pretend not to, or people who enjoy pineapple on pizza and the people who don't... you know what I mean. So here are several of my own classifications: In the 16Personalities Myer Briggs test, I am an INFJ-T, or the Advocate. As for the Enneagram test, I am Type 5, or the Investigator. In the Potter universe (which I pay the most attention to, mind), I am Ravenclaw and Horned Serpent. My Patronus is a lynx, and my wand is Blackthorn wood, Phoenix feather core, 10" in length and of hard flexibility. In Middle Earth, I would be an Ent. In The Hunger Games, I am a part of District 3. In Divergent, I am an Erudite. In The Mortal Instruments, I am a Downworlder. In Percy Jackson, I am a daughter of Athena. Um. Yeah. That's all from me, kids. So, to prove that I am in actual fact a normal human being, I shall go ahead and share some not-so-personal facts about myself. I guess? Favourite novel(s)/series: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld, Heart's Blood by Juliet Mariller, Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris, and (of course) Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Favourite movie(s): Pride and Prejudice (2005), Corpse Bride, A Beautiful Mind, Spirited Away. Favourite artist(s): Joe Hisaishi, Marina and the Diamonds, Billie Eilish And finally,
Honorary favourite character as of 2018, because of how much shit he puts up with: Keiji Akaashi. RANDOM QUOTES TIME, DON'T ASK JUST GO WITH IT The Loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they don't want people to suffer the way they did. - anonymous A writer is a world trapped inside a person. - Victor Hugo Winds in the east, mist coming in. Like something is brewing, about to begin. Can't put my finger, on what lies in store, But I fear what's to happen, all happened before. - P. L. Travers "Why do all the best people die?" "When you're in a garden, which flowers do you pick?" "The most beautiful ones." "Exactly." - unknown Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strengths. - Corrie ten Boom This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper. - T. S. Eliot I wish you to know that you have been the last dream of my soul. - Charles Dickens You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you. That's where I'll be waiting. - J. M. Barrie She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something. - Rainbow Rowell In the end, we'll all become stories. - Margaret Atwood The last thing she cared about was whether people were staring at the boy and girl kissing by the river, as London, its cities and towers and churches and bridges and streets, circled all about them like the memory of a dream. And if the Thames that ran beside them, sure and silver in the afternoon light, recalled a night long ago when the moon shone as brightly as a shilling on this same boy and girl, or if the stones of Blackfriars knew the tread of their feet and thought to themselves: At last, the wheel comes to a full circle, they kept their silence. - Cassandra Clare The common question that gets asked in business is 'why?'. That's a good question, but an equally valid question is 'why not?'. - Jeffrey Bezos “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" Not my circus, not my monkeys. - Polish proverb I know that I am intelligent, because I know that I know nothing. - Socrates The purpose of literature is to turn blood into ink. - T. S. Eliot Rapidly moving on. My current OTP: Tododeku (Boku no Hero Academia) My other ships which I am constantly jumping between: Shindeku (Boku no Hero Academia) Plance, Klance (Voltron: Legendary Defender) Tomarry, Wolfstar, Jily (Harry Potter) Haiji/Kakeru (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru) AkaKuro (Kuroko no Basket) Kagehina (Haikyu!!) They never get old... Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them The Potterverse in general (because this is definitely different from Harry Potter itself) Boku no Hero Academia Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru Voltron: Legendary Defender Kuroko no Basket BBC Sherlock Percy Jackson & the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus Shingeki no Kyojin Owari no Seraph Haikyuu!! Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit Yuri!!! on ICE So, because I'm a big anime watcher (otaku right here *raises hand*), I am now feeling the need to order my top ten. Which is a definite challenge, but LET'S GO!! 1. ハイキュー!! (Haikyuu!!) 2. 僕のヒーローアカデミア (Boku no Hero Academia) 3. 風が強く吹いている (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru) 4. 進撃の巨人 (Shingeki no Kyojin) 5. サイコパス (Psycho-Pass) 6. ユーリ!!! on ICE (Yuuri!!! on ICE) 7. Steins;Gate 8. 四月は君の嘘 (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) 9. デスノート(Death Note) 10. 残響のテロル (Zankyou no Terror) cracks knuckles* If you've made it this far without throwing your hands in the air, closing this tab and cursing this writer who is egocentric enough to dedicate an entire page to themselves (it's an effin' profile page, let me ramble as much as I please), then... well, count me as surprised. I shall reward you with actual important stuff you'd be interested in. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH YOUR WIPs??!!" says literally everybody. WHEN IN ROME - THE LOST CHILDREN CONNECTION: Okay. The (highly?) anticipated sequel. Hmm scratch that, I just sound arrogant now haha. Let us refer to it as 'the sequel'. So, the sequel is in the works, busily rolling through the many stages in the factory. It's a slow process, BUT. It's happening. I have much of the plot jotted down, I just need the time to properly write it. HARRY POTTER & THE CHILDREN OF THE GODS: I'm currently taking a break from this one because I have no inspiration for it at the moment. Honestly, I may also put that one up as discontinued. The feedback isn't so good, and I'm not surprised. The characters and writing style are, to put it simply, childish. I started writing it a little while back, so my writing has evolved heavily since then. :/ Not looking so good for this HP/PJO crossover, guys. Sorry if you were invested or anything. RINGS, ROSES & BULLETS: I do realise that I've only written one chapter for this one, and it's marked as a multi-chapter. I do plan on continuing it, but the "When in Rome" sequel is the clear priority here, and I don't even have time to work on that one, so. Please be patient with me. :3 If any of you have any requests (one-shots, preferably), just shoot me a message and I'll give it some consideration. You can also find me on AO3 under the same username. Sooooo, my dear friends, keep an eye out for XblackcatwidowX. |
