About me, eh? Let's see...

I'm the type of person that doesn't care what other people think. I listen to the music I like, watch the tv shows I like, and I don't care if other people find my opinions strange. To be honest, if it's mainstream, I probably don't like it. I think it's more fun when there's a band or tv show that not many people have heard of, it's that much more awesome when you find someone who likes the same thing. There's nothing unique about the mainstream at all. Everything looks and sounds the same.

Now that I'm done with my mini rant, I'll move on. I love anime, especially when there's a lot of action. Code Geass, Black Cat, Inuyasha, Soul Eater, Rurouni Kenshin, Ouran High School Host Club, Chrono Crusade and D.N. Angel are a few of my favorites.

Favorite Anime Characters

1. Lelouch Lamperouge. The thing about Lelouch is that he'd sacrifice everything for the sake of his beliefs. At first he just wanted his sister to live happily, but that just grew into something even bigger. He's loyal to his friends, (more or less,) and comrades. He's unpredictable, and that makes him all the more interesting. As Zero, he's a leader with a huge purpose and unwilling to surrender. But as Lelouch, he's just the same old "Lulu." He was the first character to make me think, "Woah, so many people with power choose to abuse it, but some are using their power for the better." (As cheesy as that sounds...) And then I wondered if America would some day BE the Britannia portrayed. (Though that's more related story itself rather than one character, heh.)

2. Kyoya Ootori. At first I thought Kyoya was down right creepy and stalkerish, but I soon found out that he is my second favorite character. He reminds me of myself for some reason or another, except that I'm not filthy rich and have three dozen staff members on hand to use at my disposal. Despite the cold exterior, he seems to actually care for his friends a great deal. First I was thinking, "If he is so bothered by Tamaki's antics, why doesn't he just leave?" But then I realized that although the idiot gets on his nerves and is quite frankly irresponisble, he appreciates the friendship he has. I don't know what it is, but I can't help but like him. All hail the Shadow King!

3. Inuyasha. This is a hard one. Inuyasha has problems with showing how he really feels, and often decides to use anger to hide his emotions. While I was watching the anime, I found myself thinking, "You idiot. What possessed you to do THAT?" Bouncing back and forth between Kikyo and Kagome, I was frustrated with how unwilling he was to let go of the past. After thinking about it, I started to think differently. It was because he cared for Kikyo so deeply that it was so hard for him to finally let her go. He's a genuine person, speaking more with actions than words, and I like that a lot.

4. Kenshin Himura. What first drew me in was his comedic wandering swordsman act. I see him and the first thing I think is, "He's funny, but kind of a dork." After learning about his past as a man slayer, that made his character even more complicated. Since he had such a calm nature, it never occured to me that if he wanted to, he could strike down anyone with a single blow. He cared for his friends deeply, so much that he had to leave them in order to keep them out of harm's way. In a way, I can see how that's selfish of him to pack up and leave without a word, but I can also see Kenshin's train of thought as well. All in all, Kenshin quickly became a favorite of mine.

5. Train Heartnet. Speaking from only seeing the anime, (since I only just started reading the manga,) Train sneaked his way into my favorites list. Having been with the Chronos numbers for so long, he locked his true personality away. Saya, the girl who gave him a glimpse of a different life style, was one of the main reason's he quit Chronos. He grew tired of being their pet, so he finally learned to say no. Once his real self started to show, I liked him so much more. The name Black Cat suits him well since he acts and looks like a cat half the time. He's a laid back house cat that loves sleeping and eating. And being a sweeper. He grew as a person and learned to care for other people, not just his own life. Meow!

6. Crona. I know what you're thinking. "Here we go. Yet another Crona fan, yawn." And yes, while there are many fans of this one, it can't be helped. It's never said if Crona is a girl or a boy, and for some reason that shines a spot light on him. Personally, I believe he's a boy. He's had to deal with a witch who put a demon inside of him, and he has no self confidence whatsoever. (Through no fault of his own.) He's most comfortable when he's by himself, though it seems like he actually wants a friend. He opens up just a little bit, and allows Maka, Soul, even Black Star to be his friend. Though he's most comfortable around Maka. Crona is a tortured soul, and is constantly picked on by Ragnorok. He starts changing little by little, and that's what I like most about him. In conclusion, this little Crona secured a spot on my favorites list.

7. Black Star. I admit that 2/3 of the time, this attention hog gets on my nerves. He's selfish, loud, arrogant, and puts way too much faith in his own abilities. Sure, he's a skilled assassin, but he doesn't have to act the way he does. Still, his childish charm caught my attention. I think he takes Tsubaki for granted a lot, especially the fact she patiently puts up with his wild behavior. I don't have much else to say about him, but he did force his way in my list. If anything, he's much more tolerable than Excalibur. Don't even get me started on that... thing.

8. Sunako Nakahara. This is one of the characters that really stand out when compared to others. Sunako, the horror loving, skeleton obsessed, cloak wearing girl whose afraid of being near the "Radiant Creatures" for fear of nose bleeds. While I believe she went completely bananas over one sentence one guy said to her, I can still understand how her self esteem would have been shattered. I admire how she doesn't try hard to look "beautiful," though I think she goes overboard with the whole, "I'm ugly!" thing. But the fact that she can stay true to herself is what makes her beautiful. She herself became a radiant creature without even noticing, and I can't help but love this girl.

9. Sanosuke Sagara. What I like most about Sano is his loyalty. He will fight to protect his friends, no matter what the cost. At first, he was biased and believed Kenshin was just another lap dog of the Imperial government. But then he realized Kenshin isn't a bad guy after all and starts to free load off Kaoru. I like Sano because he is a funny, somewhat slow in the head, but an all around good guy. He's always up for a fight, but is afraid of trains. "See, it is a kettle," is one of his more memorable lines.

Well, I could go on, but I think I should stop before it gets to be too long. These are only my personal opinions of some of my favorite anime characters, and my opinion alone. It's just what I picked up from watching the shows.

I didn't expect that to be so long. Oh, well. If you want to talk or something, feel free to email me.

Do you remember the first chapter of the series? This is what was going on between the scenes. From the Shadow King's inner mind security camera.
