Reading - Every single thing by John Green and Carol Plum-Ucci! The Hunger Games, Bloody Jack, The Chocolate War, Inventing Elliot, The Gone Series, Maze Runner, Abhorsen Trilogy... but I also like reading non-fiction (Bill Bryson! Neil Postman! Tim Wu!). My standard favorites include James Herriot, Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, C.S. Lewis, Anthony Burgess, Sylvia Plath, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, T.S. Eliot...I read a lot. Watching TV - Lately it's Community (6 seasons and a movie!), 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, Happy Endings, and The Big Bang Theory. Thanks to Netflix it's also 18 to Life, Friday Night Lights, Futurama, and Being Human. Let's see - Gilmore Girls, Chuck, Veronica Mars, The West Wing, Sports Night, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The IT Crowd...It suddenly occurs to me I may watch too much television My dependents - totaling at this point a dog, three cats, two kids, and a husband (hence the incredibly slow rate of updating) The Outdoors - Ultimate Frisbee rocks as does hiking and Nature in general. The earthy smell right before it rains that it seems you can only find in Arizona. Music - Occasionally I play the piano (not well) and I sing (much better). Listening is anything with a stringed instrument or an interesting take on things. Far too long of a list to even begin. Other than that it's family, friends, and general optimism about life :) |
