The Return (Rewrite) - Chapter 13’s New Preview:

[UPDATE 7/8/18 - I changed my mind about how I want the next chapter to go, so the previous preview is basically nonexistent in the newest chapter now. Sorry about that, folks.]

“Greetings, Robin.” Kid snaps his attention up to the air where a person flies down, hovering just slightly above them. “Oh, and Ex-Friend Kid Flash is here too! It makes the act of capturing quite easier.”

“Star?” He hears Robin utter as the Boy Wonder pushes past him in an instant. “Starfire? Why are you—” Robin reaches out for the orange-skinned alien, only for Batman to tackle the Boy Wonder out of the way when a starbolt is thrown in their direction. Kid Flash barely manages to pick up the twins by their collars and dash out of the way before another set of starbolts are shot at them.

“I don’t think your old teammate needs a reunion hug, Robin.” Batman says grimly, getting back up on his feet. Robin follows in suit, reaching down into his belt for his bo-staff.

“Let me guess,” Artemis says, grabbing an arrow from the quiver on her back to load up her bow, “another blast from your past?” Kid only shoots a glare at the blonde archer in response.

“Geez, how many of you are there?” Superboy grumbles with a still-unconscious Miss Martian in his arms.

“I guess now we know what Slade’s done to all the captured Titans…” Kid says to Robin as he places the twins back on their feet.

Mas and Menos nod their heads vigorously before pausing, eyes wide with realization. “Ahora recuerdo (Now I remember),” Mas starts nervously as Menos finishes, “Fue Miss Bumblebee quien nos atacó esa noche en el bosque. (It was Miss Bumblebee that attacked us that night in the forest.)”

Broken Memories - Chapter 4 Preview:

"Big brother!" Yoon cries, worry and fear etched into his voice as he drops to his side. Min-Soo wipes his eyes with the back of his arm before pulling his legs under him and bowing with his face close to the ground.

"I beg of you," He shouts as loud as his voice can go, ignoring the stinging pain of his scraped hands. "Please hire me."

"Like I said, I would never hire a whore's child." The older man spits, glaring down at the two boys. "Especially one with unnecessary baggage." Min-Soo flinches at the man's words.

This was not the first time someone has said something similar to him. It didn't take him long to figure out that they all meant Yoon. The thought did occur to him once, he admits, that finding a job would be easier if he had left Yoon with someone else, but he had immediately become angry with himself for even thinking that to be a possibility. No matter what anyone tells him, no matter what anyone gave him, he would never abandon his brother. Never. He had promised his mother that he would take care of him. Because Yoon was his reason to live.

Because he was all he had left.

"Please..." Min-Soo bows his head further onto the ground until his forehead met the dirt.

"Pathetic..." The man's boot rests on top of Min-Soo's head, making him wince at the dirt shoved into his face. "Groveling before another man's feet without any hint of shame. Bet that whore of mother taught you how to beg real well..."

"Get away from him, you big meanie!" He hears Yoon yell as the weight of the man's foot is lifted off of him. The man grunts as Min-Soo picks his head up off the ground and watched as his little brother beat his tiny fists against the man's arm.

Min-Soo hastily gets on his feet. "Yoon, no-"

"You little-" the man swings his arm back, hand tightly balled into a fist. Min-Soo wastes no time grabbing Yoon and pushing the little boy behind him before bracing himself for the painful impact that was to come...

...But a punch never came. he peeks out one eye before opening both to stare at the shocking sight before him. A stranger held the other man's fist in his hand, stopping the punch's direction.

The Return Timeline:

Formation of the Teen Titans- about six years prior to the events of The Return. Robin was 12 years old when he formed the Teen Titans. (2005)

Jinx's first intro in the show- five months after the Teen Titans were formed. Jinx was 13 years old when she, Gizmo, and Mammoth took over the Titans Tower. (2005)

The HIVE Academy arc- A year after Jinx's first intro. Jinx was 14 years old when Cyborg went undercover in the HIVE Academy. (2006)

Lightspeed- six months after the HIVE was destroyed. Jinx was still 14 years old, but was just a few months away from being 15. (2006-2007)

Titans Together- four months after the events of Lightspeed. Robin was 14 years old. (2007)

Unnamed prequels that I will most likely do after I finish 'The Return'- A few weeks after Titans together, Jinx is settling in her newfound hero status. Will most likely span on the course of two years, so Jinx will be 15-17. (2007-2009)

Robin, KF, and Speedy leaves Titans- Robin was 15 years old when he left the Titans. (2008)

Titans disband- The disbandment was declared on the second year of Robin's absence. Jinx was still 17 but was about to turn 18 years old. (2010)

In 'The Return'- A year after the Titans disband. Jinx is 18 years old and Robin is 17 years old. (2011)
