These are my favorite things:

Color: gray (NOT silver)

Animal: wolves (that is NOT obvious)

Food: shrimp and beef jerky

Drink: Dr. Pepper, lemonade and water

Sport: softball (who wouldn't like softball!?)

Football Team:Indianapolis Colts!

Show: NCIS (I"m in heaven thinking about it)

Movie: Battle Los Angeles, Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter

Book: Promise of the Wolves, Hunger Games series and The Best Bad Luck I Ever Had

Hobbies: read, explore outside and go on fanfiction

I want to tell you a little (probably a lot), about wolves because they are my favorite animal. Oh and by the way, I hope you like my profile picture. Isn't it sooo cute?! But guess what, people are killing, poisoning, or doing whatever it takes to get rid of these animals.

I am absolutely in love with animals. I especially love wolves because of how interesting they are and how stunning and beautiful they are. My favorite types of wolves would have to be the gray wolf and the red wolf. Red wolves are one of the most endangered animal species though.
There are 3 main species of wolf. The gray wolf, the red wolf, and the Eurasian wolf. In the gray wolf group, there are 24 sub-species, but in 1995 they grouped it into only 5 sub-species. IN the red wolf group, there are 3 sub-species. And in the Eurasian group, there are 10 sub-species. There are 6 sub-species of wolf that have not yet been grouped.
The wolves that could not be saved and are now extinct are the Alaskan wolf, the Newfoundland wolf, the Mongollon Mountain wolf, the Texas gray wolf, the Great Plains wolf, the Hokkaido wolf, and the Hondo wolf.

Now here are some wolf facts:

-their lifespan is about 7-8 years in the wild but some have lived to be over 10
-their height is about 26-32 inches at the shoulder
- their length is about 4.5-6.5 feet from nose to tip of tail
-their weight is about 55-130 pounds; Males are typically heavier and taller than the female
-wolves usually eat large, hoofed mammals but are known to eat other small prey
-wolves' biggest threat are humans

Something you should really know about wolves is that you stand a better chance of being struck by lightning than killed by a wolf.
