Hello - the name is Caleek. I'm an English major in the States, and I occasionally write for the college paper. Keep in mind that I am a college student, and I know I'll be slow to update. Please be patient and gracious.

Since you're here, it means you want to know more about me (or want to read more of my stuff - that's cool). Some quick stats:

I come from Thief River Falls, MN (and, before you ask, yes: it is cold). I've loved stories since forever, and I warmed to creative writing in grade school. The first story I ever wrote was about a dog and some strawberries. It was weird, but I was in pre-school (which isn't really an excuse since I still write strange stuff, but whatever). Currently, I'm working on a novel and a book of poetry, which is slow going (I was gunning over the summer, but times have changed). I'm on this site because I like to read (and write) fanfiction. I look forward to sharing them with you all.

For those of you still with me, here's a list of "fun" facts:

I am a cat person. Cats are not allowed at college, but I will have one after graduation.
I like sushi - if I could eat only one meal a day for the rest of my life, it'd be sushi.
I'm a hot chocolate person (no tea or coffee).
Lance Henriksen is, at the moment, my favorite actor. I've dedicated this entire semester to watching his old movies. I love his voice - look him up.
The second toe is longer than the first.
I like movies (like, really like them). Favorites include (but aren't limited to) The Darjeeling Limited, Lawrence of Arabia, Aliens, and No Country For Old Men. I'm always looking for film recs, so hit me up if you've got a suggestion.
I like to use hyphens - a lot.
Favorite television shows include Twin Peaks, Hannibal, X-Files, and the Great British Bake-Off. For some reason, the Great British Bake-Off really stresses me out (even though it's the most chill program out of these favorites).
Like most English majors, I enjoy reading. The top three books are Dracula, A Clockwork Orange, and Hamlet.
El Caminos are cool.
Favorite poet is Arthur Rimbaud. He's a bit melodramatic, but he's bae.
I hate it on HGTV when they take a perfect brick fireplace and paint it white. Please stop, it physically hurts me.
