Gilbert has been the town's doctor since the death of his uncle, and finds himself now confronting his past and an Anne barely recognisable as the girl he once loved. Old feelings begin to resurface and the two of them must unravel the grief of the past to start again.

AU story that begins at the very end of Anne of Avonlea and imagines what might have happened if Anne had realized, at least in part, her feelings for Gilbert before they left for Redmond.

When Tomorrow Comes is the sequel to my AU, One More Day With You. It follows Anne and Gilbert after their engagement, until the summer after the two of them graduate. With prizes yet to be won and dreams to explore, Anne and Gilbert work together to prepare for whatever awaits them around the next bend in the road.
