Author has written 3 stories for Shugo Chara!. X Y L O P H I C.profile Hey there~ As you may know I am Xylophic. My favorite animes/mangas are Shugo Chara, Vampire Knight, Strawberry Panic, Fruits Basket, Futakoi, Ouran High School Host Club, Mamotte! Lollipop, Itazura na Kiss, Kitchen Princess, Earl and Fairy and Special A. Here's a summary for each of my favorite anime~ Shugo Chara! The story centers on elementary schoolgirl Amu Hinamori whose popular exterior, referred to as "cool and spicy" by her classmates, contrasts with her introverted personality. When Amu wishes for the courage to be reborn as her would-be self, she is surprised to find three colorful eggs the next morning, which hatch into three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su. Vampire Knight Yuki Cross's earliest memory is of a snowy night in winter, when she was attacked by one vampire and was saved by another, Kaname Kuran. Yuki is the adopted daughter of the Headmaster of Cross Academy, Cross Kaien and has grown up and became a prefect for the school with one main purpose: to protect the Human Day Class Students and the Vampire Night Class Students from each other. Her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryuu, a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pureblood vampire, is now determined to kill them all and refuses to trust them. Through a cruel twist of fate, Zero becomes a vampire himself, having been bitten by a pure-blood vampire four years before, Shizuka Hiou. Kaname leads the group of Night class as their President, with the help of Takuma Ichijo, the Vice-president. Strawberry Panic! The plot of Strawberry Panic! revolves around the lives of the adolecents who attend one of three affiliated all-girl schools which share a campus and dormitories. The schools are: St. Miator's Girls' Academy, St. Spica's Girls' Institute, and St. Lulim's Girls' School. The story's main character is Nagisa Aoi, a young girl entering her fourth year at St. Miator after being transferred from another school. Fruits Basket High-school student Tohru Honda, who was recently orphaned when her mother, Kyoko Honda, died in a car accident. After that, Tohru lived with her grandfather, but when his house needs remodeling, Tohru resorts to living in a tent in a forest and holds down a job to support herself. Despite suffering many hardships, Tohru remains optimistic. One day, Tohru comes upon a house in the forest that is the home of her classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure Sohma. When the Sohmas discover that Tohru is living in a tent, they are quite surprised by her inner strength. The entire area is Sohma property, and Tohru asks to be allowed to stay in her tent (affectionately dubbed "her castle"). Feeling sorry for her and desperate to end their bachelor days of filthy living conditions, the Sohmas offer her their spare room in exchange for cooking and housework. After a landslide buries her tent, including her mother's picture and school clothes, she has no option but to accept. Soon after she moves in, Kyo Sohma comes to challenge Yuki. Tohru soon discovers the Sohma family's secret, and the reason why Yuki is so private and secretive at school: thirteen members of the family are possessed by the 12 animal spirits of the Chinese Zodiac plus the spirit of the cat who was, according to legend, left out of the Zodiac. They transform into animals when hugged by the opposite sex or when put under a great deal of emotional or physical stress (such as being sick). When she promises to keep their secret, the Sohmas allow Tohru to keep her memories rather than hypnotically erasing them, a fate that had previously befallen anyone not "Inside" the Sohma family who had discovered the secret. Futakoi The story begins with Nozomu Futami returning to the town where he was born and raised as a child. He moves in near a shrine which houses a legendary stone that was rumoured to have been the place where twin girls turned into birds. The stone is rumoured to be the cause of an abundance of twin girls who are born in the town. The twins who turned into birds did so because of their love for a man who couldn't choose between them. Shortly after Nozomu enters town he begins to run into the same problems as six pairs of twins fight for his love. Ouran High School Host Club Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, the working place of the Ouran Host Club, a group of six extremely attractive male students (Takashi Morinozuka, called "Mori"; Mitsukuni Haninozuka, called "Honey"; twins Kaoru and Hikaru Hitachiin; Tamaki Suou, and Kyoya Ootori) who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over and breaks a vase valued at 8,000,000 yen. In order to pay off the large debt, Haruhi is employed as the club's "dog" and is constantly ordered to do menial tasks like serving food or cleaning up. The club president, Tamaki Suou, without knowing she is really a girl, promotes Haruhi to "host" as soon as he discovers her potential. Even after the truth comes out in the Club, Haruhi continues the charade and is allowed to pay off the rest of her debt working as a host; in order to accomplish this, Haruhi conceals her true identity/gender from the customers and the school. Mamotte! Lolipop Nina Yamada is a 7th grader who dreams about a boy who is strong, handsome, and kind enough to protect her. One day, Nina "accidentally" swallowed a Crystal Pearl that she assumed was candy. But the Crystal Pearl was the goal of a sorcery examination. Nina is the new Crystal Pearl which is targeted by many probationer sorcerers and goes on for half a year. During this whole mix up, she meets two magician boys named Zero and Ichi and comes to a conclusion that they can protect her until a potion is made to remove the Crystal Pearl from her. However, this potion will take about 6 months to complete. Even at school and at home, Zero and Ichii protect Nina where ever she goes. This is a romantic comedy shojo manga warmed up by Zero & Ichii, the boys who protect Nina and their other rivals: examinees for the Magical Exam, such as San, Forte, Gô and Rokka. Itazura Na Kiss Itazura na Kiss tells the love story of Kotoko and Naoki from their days as high school students to their marriage. The story continues after the marriage as they continue to grow as a couple. The story starts with Kotoko finally building up the courage to confess to Naoki Irie by giving him a love letterbut was rejected in front of everybody. After that humiliating moment, she decided to give up on her love for Naoki. That same day, the Aihara's newly-built home was destroyed during a mild earthquake due to poor construction. They ended up staying in the Irie household thus starting the development of their relationship. Kitchen Princess The story follows Najika Kazami, an orphan and an excellent chef from Hokkaido, and her arrival at Seika Academy, an escalator school. Not only does she plan to become a great chef like her deceased parents, but she also sets out to find her "Flan Prince", a boy that saved her from falling into a river and gave her a cup of flan with a silver spoon with the school's emblem on it. She promised him she would make the most delicious dessert in the world. However, as soon as she is placed into Class A, the special class, she has to deal with the constant insults of Akane Kishida and her group. Things become better, however, when she befriends Sora and Daichi Kitazawa, the school's most popular brothers, and possible candidates for the status of her "Flan Prince". Najika has always wanted to be the world's greatest pastry chef. Earl and Fairy The story is set in Victorian England. It follows the adventures of 17-year old Lydia Carlton, who is nicknamed the "Fairy Doctor" due to her interest in fairies. Her life takes a 180-degrees turn when she meets Edgar J.C Ashenbert, the "Legendary Blue Knight Count" and his crew on a sea voyage to London. Edgar hires her as an adviser during his quest to obtain a treasured sword that was supposed to be handed down to him by his family. Special A Hakusenkan (or Private Hakusen Academy) is the best school in the prefecture. The classes are separated into A-F based on grades. The A class is only open for the top students in each grade. The top seven within the A class, from first year to third year, are known as the Special A or SA class (hence the title). The members of SA are highly respected. The SA class has its own building, dubbed "The School's Paradise" and attending class is optional (Only Hikari attends). They also have a kitchen, where Akira makes her afternoon tea. Their uniform is also different from the standard uniform. The members of the SA have been close friends since elementary school. Favorite Anime Pairings: Amu x Ikuto Yuuki x Zero Nagisa x Tamao/Shizuma Tohru x Kyo Nozomu x Sara Shirogane/Sōju Shirogane Haruhi x Kyouya/Hikaru Nina x Zero Najika x Daichi Lydiax Edgar Hikari x Kei OC's - I hate it when writers use original characters as their main characters in a fanfiction. I mean, some stories are just ridiculous. I remember seeing a story wherein the OC was the heroine of the story but the plot was exactly the same as the real story. OC's, in my opinion, should just be filler characters. I don't bother reading stories with OC's as the main character. Grammar - Oh my God this pisses me off greatly. If you cannot write with proper grammar. Get the fuck out. Writing is not for you. It's awful when writers type like they're texting. Treat your fan fic like a book. You don't see a sentences like this "nice 2 c u" in books do you? Real turn off when the first paragraph of the story was full of grammar errors. Also, remember to always capitalize the correct letters. Typing in all caps/all lower case does not look good. Also, remember to never make your sentences too long. This usually happens when you connect two ideas with "and", "but", etc. It is also not correct to start your sentence with "And". Author's Notes - Honestly, it looks really stupid when in the middle of your story there's a random A/N going like: (A/N: lol!) If you have something to say, say it at the end or put a little asterisk there or something. Out of Character Characters - Please, do not use a character and make him/her act totally different from their real personality. As much as possible, keep it similar. It's pretty much like creating a whole new character while using that character's name. You are writing a fan fiction. You are not borrowing another person's character's name and making its personality entirely different. Decorating your Text - It honestly looks awful guys when your whole story is bolded, italicized or underlined. I honestly don't see why people do that. Punctuation Marks - It's real annoying when you see too many exclamation marks (!!) or question marks (??) after a sentence. Really, one would suffice. I hate it especially when the sentence is already in all caps and it has several punctuation marks. (Ex: SHUT UP IDIOT!!)
