![]() Author has written 35 stories for Warriors, Pokémon, and Marching Band. I really need to update this. Holy cow. Anyway, my name is none of your business, so to my internet friends I go by Mira, Rini, Ivey, Ky, Kylay, and yeah. If you haven't noticed, I am a warriors loving, pokemon playing full fledged band geek, and proud of it. I love cats. Speaking of which, we currently have eight, four of which are kittens, three of those kittens siblings. Our only adult female, skittles, is mother of our two adult males, Oreo and chita. Blacky is our senior white male(yes, I said whiteXD Well, brown, because he is an outside cat) The three sibling kittens are Buster, Lucky, and their only sister Lily. They had two more brothers, Piyoko and Fat Louie(louie lived up to his name) but they have found homes away from ours. The final kitten is the devil's daughter, willow. One of the prettiest torti cats I have ever seen, but I swear she is out to kill the human race. I mean, when the person(my mom) who works with wild animals calls it vicious, you know you have a problem. I wrote a story about her though, where she is actually nice, which is completely untrue. As for band, like I said, I am a full-fledged band geek. I plan on being a band director when I grow up. At the moment, I can play almost every instrument, and my goal is to actually play every instrument before i am out of high school. My instruments have gotten so piled up, I find it easier to say what I can't play. By the way, string instruments are counted, as well as piano. So, the instruments I haven't played are tuba, baritone/euphonium, and bassoon. You may ask; why are those mostly brass? Well, I figured out I fail at brass when I tried trombone. Yeah, my cats spent most of that time period outside, and we had quite a few worried calls from oru neighbors making sure nothing was dying at our house. It was pretty bad. i got a bit better, but not much. My latest is trumpet, which I am in the process of teaching myself. I've enarly mastered a Bb sclae, except...thats all i can play, not a note lower, higher or in between. So far, my favorite and best instruments are clarinet, saxophone and oboe. Piano is pretty high up too, but that is more of when I have nothing better to do at my grandparents house. Last year, my band had an excellent season. We got a superior for the first time in 20 years, and we made it to the first ever state finals(the first one in our state, not the first for our school) which already meant we were top 10 in our state. We got eighth place. Then, our director left. He moved to a city about 2 hours away. We are currently under the instruction of the school choir director. I don't advise this at all. While a great choir director, she is a suckish band director. At a 3 hour rehearsal, she gives us 1 water break, if we are lucky. We have someone pass out almost every rehearsal. At band camp, we got one waterbreak throughout the entire day. The first day, the alto sax section leader apssed out. the next day, a freshman. After that, ti was about 4 people a day. It was bad. then she made us dance. Instead of amrching. And it wasn't even related to anything we have or ever will do. Our first festival didn't go well at all. We recieved a rating of 'Good." For those who are using a different system, our ratings go in order from lowest to highest: poor, fair, good, excellent, superior, superior with distinction. In order to go to state, we have to get an excellent at a state qualifier, of which our first and second festival are. We managed an excellent at the next one, and went to state. at this point, I personally got a bad grade in my english class, and became ineligible to march at competitions and games. I couldn't go to state with my band, but I'm glad I didn't, because they recieved a whopping "Good." Which also meant we would not qualify for State Champs. currently, i am a junior in highschool. I am clarinet section leader, hoping to be drum major my senior year. I wish i could say i love my section, and i guess i do somewhere deep down, but honestly, i hate every single one of them but my only freshman. They all seem to hate me as well. I tried being nice to them during band camp, but they all started being jerks and taking advantage of me, so i got meaner. now they talk behind my back, yell at mew, ignore me, don't listen to me and do exactly the opposite of what i say, etc. Nw that marching season is over, one of the troublesome sohphomores quit curtesy of the choir director, and I am left with 2 other decent clarients, a freshman who "is sleeping" during regionals auditions, a trio of sophomores who should really find a new hobby(they barely care at all anyway), and a senior that sounds like a 5th grader. also, the other two good players have decided they deserve all first parts and I deserve to hit up the second parts with the better of the new-hobby trio. Whereas regionals scores have said otherwise(I made 5th chair! Highest at my school for at least 3 years. One made 18th chair, the other made 32nd) And of course, the direcotr doesn't care. Gr. |
