After Mario and Peach get married, the Koopa Troop abducts her. As she escapes from Bowser's Castle, she finds out disturbing facts about the "good" people close to her. When the Koopas' past comes back to haunt them all, Peach's now forced to fight for good with her archenemies... But she may no longer see the Koopas as enemies.

First of the CBTS series. Bowser and Koopalings decide, once again, to kidnap Peach during a picnic the Mario Gang are having to celebrate a holiday. However, a chemical Ludwig uses to knock out the Mario Gang turns into a starting point of a much bigger adventure. In this story, the Mario Brothers and the Koopas must work together to save their planet from a shadow being.

After a bit of pondering on why the Koopalings are always losing, Bowser finally notices one reason of the Koopalings' failures: their inability to work as a team. To fix this, the King commands each Koopaling to work with their most hated sibling. Their task: to complete a list of requirements, but to complete them, the Koopalings will have to go through a process: Compromise.
