Settling into a new life after so much tragedy isn't as easy as it seems. Follows the lives of the main characters as they try to find normal after everything they've been through. Post LS, with a bit of the Bloodlines plots. An attempt to fill in some gaps in the series, as well as an exploration of the characters lives.

Set just after Shadow Kiss, the attack still took place, but with a different outcome. Everyone is forced to leave the Academy for their safety, but with nowhere else to go, Rose is sent to Russia with Dimitri.

Dimitri was never turned strigoi in the battle in SK. He and Rose now have to work together to keep their relationship under wraps until she graduates. But that's proven difficult with all the drama and dangerous events happening at the academy. Can Rose and Dimitri get their happy ending?

Rose and Dimitri can't deny themselves from each other anymore. It's to hell with graduation and waiting to be together. There's no time like the present. When an unexpected surprise is bestowed on the couple, Rose and Dimitri's plans for the future are changed. New challenges await the VA gang. Juggling Court and college life, getting the Moroi fighting program to start, dealing with Tasha's trial...
