![]() Author has written 5 stories for Naruto. Name: Kate D. Birthdate: June 27th, 1991 Location: Ontario, Canada General Info: I haven't updated this little blerb in a while, but I don't expect many people out there actually read it. Regardless, take my life story! If you'd like to skip it, look for the DONE at the bottom of my biography. I was raised in a series of small towns throughout my life. My father was an avid reader, and I think I got my love of books from him. Since I was very young, my favourite thing was to get lost in a really good story. Both my parents were huge fans of roleplay and though they never noticed, I would often crawl out of bed and sit on the stairs to watch them play Dungeons and Dragons. As I got older, I dabbled in online text-based role playing. I started out with simple 1 line RPs using Habbo Hotel (does anyone still USE that thing?), then migrated to IMVU where I was subsequently recruited to a Naruto message board called "Ninja Village". It was here that my writing really developed, and where I met a lot of really cool people I'm still kind of in touch with today. I still remember the day I graduated from a few sentences per post into whole paragraphs, and eventually these epic posts containing so much detail it was almost a hassle to read. I remember the user named Akane, who I lost touch with a long time ago. She helped me flourish into the person I am now, and gave me the boost I needed to seek the best of myself. Throughout my online RP career, I dabbled in all kinds of characters. I learned to tap into my dark side and play the sadistic killer; the sexy seductress; the torturer. I learned to play men and women. I learned how to write the most detailed sex scenes before I had even had sex myself. In High school, deep into my RP addiction, I was introduced to D&D again. Though I had seen it before, I never really experienced it for myself until I joined the D&D club every lunch. The rules were tough to learn, but my DMs were forgiving and patient. We learned together, and had some really fun adventures. It was D&D that broke me out of my shy awkwardness and really allowed me to come out of myself without the computer screen - face to face with real people. I continued playing Dungeons and Dragons into University, and I really started to develop my characters a lot more. I learned from some of the most creative people I had ever met. There were guys who could string together stories with almost no plan, and weave these epic adventures that made everyone feel huge. Some of the players could build these super intense backstories, personalities and images, I felt like my characters were empty balloons next to them. I learned so much and enjoyed my time playing. DONE I have since graduated University with an English degree (Philosophy minor). I lived in China for four years where I taught English to Chinese kids. I loved, was subsequently tossed away like trash, and now I'm rebuilding my life the way *I* think it should be. I'm working toward becoming an Electrician, which is something I've always been interested in. At the same time, I'm exploring what it means to be me. Despite my busy life, I do still find a little time to work on my writing. I'm hoping to finish up some of the fics I've been working on for a while now, and get those up ASAP. I do apologize to all my loyal readers (if you even exist). I'll try my best to keep up with what I've got. In case you're interested in the kinds of things I read, here's a few of my favourite books/series: Outlander - Diana Gabaldon Club Sin - Stacey Kennedy The Sword of Truth - Terry Goodkind Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling of course. The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien The Lightbringer - Brent Weeks (Anything he writes is gold, so check out his other series) The Otherworld - Kelly Armstrong I hope you enjoy the fanfictions I have written, and will continue to write. A fan favourite is Flames in the Land of Fire for it's sexy, yet twisted plot, so if you want to read anything, go for that. I am currently working on Forbidden Fruit, which is a twisted story about Adultery and Heartbreak with my crack pairing of Shikaku and Temari. I'm loving it. I'm also working on an AU Shika x Tema fic called Games of Our Lives as a request from a reader. One of these days, I really have to try out a PG story... If you like my writing, don't be afraid to send me a comment or a private message. If what you have to say is interesting, I almost always respond. If you just want to talk about writing in general, I love to talk about these things too. Even if you want me to read one of your stories, don't be afraid to drop me a link and I'll do my best! Best Wishes, -Kate |
