AU Tag to 8.06 – Hurt Sam / Guilty Dean / Garth...being Garth – Nobody moved as the faint ping of the cursed coin falling to the floor was lost in the sudden deafening sound of a gun being fired at close range. A gun that had accidently gone off during the brief struggle. A gun that had been aimed directly at Sam.

He should have just gotten killed in a hunt. Fuel for their psychotic mission for revenge. The way a Winchester dies. As a last favor to Dean, he would die in the hunt. Starts the night Sam gets his acceptance letter.

Dean tries, he really, really does and Sam knows this and loves his brother for it, but every time he catches Dean looking at him with relief in his eyes, he also hates him a bit. Continuation of The Missing and The First Week.
