I started reading Moonlight Fan Fiction Fall of 2008. I had never even heard of Fan Fiction. Now, I don't go a day without reading it!!! Many times I don't sleep at night because I cannot quit reading it. I BEGGED my husband for an IPad for my birthday so I could read it anywhere/anytime... and, I was TIRED of dragging my laptop with me EVERYWHERE I went when most of the time I could not get online unless I was at a motel.

It was funny how I discovered Moonlight (after it was off the air unfortunately) ... I belonged/belong to Incredimail groups and I kept getting Stationary of "Moonlight" and its Characters. MANY I deleted because I knew nothing about it (how stupid was that). Finally, my curiosity got the best of me about this show..so, I wandered to You Tube. I might mention here that at this time Moonlight had aired "Sonata" a couple of months earlier (so, I guess I checked You Tube out around July two months after the last show). They had all the Moonlight episodes on You Tube. I didn't even pick an episode only a clip. The clip I watched (knowing NOTHING about Moonlight or the actors that portrayed the characters) was from "Sonata". It was the very last scene when Mick knocked on Beth's door and she proceeded to tell him "she couldn't do this anymore" etc. I sat there watching it with my mouth opened through the entire scene. I KNEW immediately I was a "goner"..I was totally hooked just from that one scene. I must have watched it 20 times. I think I cried every time I watched it! Immediately, I saved every episode onto my hard drive. That is what I watched continuously until it came out on DVD!

I immediately did a search for Moonlight and that "hunk" of a man Alex O'Loughlin on the internet. I had to find out all I could as fast as I could. I joined all the sites I could find. It was at one of these sites that I discovered Moonlight Fan Fiction! I think Nocturne in C Moll, PNWgal, Allegrita, Cprav's stories were some of the first I read. And, two years later I am STILL hooked on ML FF's! I am always on the "hunt" for new stories and even new sites to find Fan Fiction on. I hate it when I am reading comments/reviews and sites are mentioned that I have never heard of... I am immediately on the hunt with the same "intensity" as starving vampires looking for blood. LOL LOL!!! While I belong to several of the popular ML FF sites, I still "fear" I don't know them all!!! LOL!! Feel free to PM me with the site addresses for Fan Fictions... I know MANY...but, what if I am "missing out" on one I don't know about!! LOL LOL LOL!!!

February 2009.. I was at Hospice with my 90 year old Mother. Everyone else was sound asleep as I sat by Mama's bed with my laptop in front of me reading Moonlight Fan Fiction. I had done this for the last three months while she was in the hospital (two times), rehab & finally Hospice. I LIVED with Mama & my Moonlight Fan Fiction! The stories "carried" me through this very intense time of my life. And, more important than anything..I was the only one awake when Mama passed on to heaven. I looked up from my story that I was reading and instantly knew that life had just passed from her body. That has just stuck with me to this day. Knowing exactly what I was doing when Mama died and knowing what I was doing was so very close to my heart..and it allowed me the opportunity to be awake when she passed away made my fan fictions all the more important to me. So, my dearest writers..please just know what you are doing is SO very important to me and many many others.

My weakness..I hate to admit this because I am so ashamed... I am horrible at leaving reviews. I KNOW the "muses" get fed from the reviews so I KNOW how important it is for me as a reader to leave a comment. All the other comments are so eloquent and expressed perfectly..and, I know I cannot come close to the depth of their reviews. And, I don't have an Icon or Banner... And, many times when I read a story, the last review was years ago. But, those are NO excuse... I know you all would appreciate just a simple "thank you" if nothing else. I have to say though that I am doing MUCH better!!! I don't comment every chapter...but, I am doing MUCH better at reviewing at the end of the story. Okay, that is the end of my confession!!!! I just want all the writers to know how much I appreciate their gift of writing Moonlight Fan Fictions!!!

I did get "side tracked" from my ML FF's for awhile... I discovered Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. OMGosh!!! I didn't stop until I read all seven books. And, those books are HUGE (1,000-1,700 pages)! But, I totally enjoyed them all and was very disappointed when they ended! There is SO much history, etc in them that it takes her two to three years to write a book! I have found a "few" Outlander FF's here at this site..but, not many..not enough to fill my Outlander "void"! LOL!! I wish so very much they would do a movie. WHEW! But, that is okay because I got right back into the Moonlight Fan Fictions!!! Heck, I want a Moonlight movie (with original actors) more than an Outlander movie as much as I loved the books. There is NOTHING that compares to Moonlight!

I live in North Florida with my Husband (30 years November 15th) and Son (who I don't think will EVER move out). For the last six months, I have been in Seattle with my Brother who is going through some personal problems. I don't know exactly when I will be going home... hopefully before Christmas! But, at least I have my laptop and IPad here..so, I can still have my ML Fan Fictions!! whoohoo!!!
