Hi there! I'm Evelyn. It's nice to see you here. I like to read/write fanfiction about Fairy Tail, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Goblin (K-drama), and a few others that escape my mind at the moment. I've heard a lot of people wonder: Writing? How is that an art? How can something so plain and common be an art? I used to be one of those people too. But now, while I still understand why writing mayn't seem like an art, I've eventually learned to appreciate its beauty. I've come to like the way poetry could convey so much meaning in thought-provoking ways while sounding so satisfyingly pleasant to the ear — and later on, the equally impactful potential of clear, beautiful, and intriguing prose. I used to be intimidated by the latter, but as time passed, I've come to embrace it. Mostly through fiction. I joined fanfiction.net because I was inspired by the beauty of possibility. It's always about "what could be". I deeply appreciate the possibilties of what our minds can conjure, of what our hearts can sing, and of what our metaphorical souls can bear deep inside. Fiction can be a great way to invite people into other worlds and show them wonders and pains that reflect the realities of our lives. It reaches out, explains, and pulls in others in amazing ways, when done right. And fanfiction lets us, fans of certain works of fiction, attempt to reconstruct, deconstruct, brainstorm about, and continue the beauty of what inspires us. To me, that's pretty cool. Aside from writing/reading, I enjoy studying (mostly science), music, and baking. I'm fascinated by the beauty of science and logical coherence, by the expressive character and spirit in music, and the precise yet creative pleasures of making cakes and cookies. I also find joy in daydreaming, brainstorming, looking for different perspectives to everything, recharging my energy by relaxing alone, working for my goals in silence, and trying to become better and appreciate life better every day. Aside from what I like, there are other things that define me. Well, I believe it's hard to truly define what makes us who we are. It's often heard that you can't fit people into boxes and descriptions. But then again, definitions are meant to clarify, not to confine. So here are a few more things that I say about myself in attempts to make who I am a little clearer. I'm a thirteen-year-old, a cis-gender female, an INTP, an Asian, a bilingual, and a night owl. And I'm someone who hopes you have a good day and enjoy what I write. |
