![]() Author has written 5 stories for Teen Titans, X-Men: Evolution, and Hetalia - Axis Powers. Riiight... Another profile. Mmkay. I'm exceptional at these. Allow me to present to you my bullcrapping abilities. :) So, I'm probably your average internet-dependant teenager. I'm incredibly inept at socialising, spend more time procrastinating than breathing, have more subscriptions than friends, etc, etc. I'd like to qualify as Straight-Edge (pfft) with my vegetarianism (3 years) and personal policy against drinking and drugs (despite being, y'know, Scottish. Look at me breaking the stereotypes). I'm a reader (yeah, we still exist), a gamer (dear god), the occasional fangirl (I really loathe myself at these points) and an inspiring author (yeah, good luck me). It's probably obvious by now that I have a somewhat sarcastic attitude, and yes, it is used as a defence mechanism. Laugh it up. Generally speaking, I wouldn't be friends with me if I was someone else, but I'm all I've got. I'd like to think I have some good qualities, but hey, we're all here to read some smutty fanfictions about our OTPs, amIright? No need to get deep and personal. I'm also in an open relationship with Mountain Dew and Maltesers... Just in case you wanted to know... If there's one thing I consider a skill, it's my writing. Now, I'm not calling myself superior in any way or attempting to bathe myself in arrogance and the tears of the inferior, but it's one thing I genuinely feel comfortable with. The amount of characters I have (normally OCs... Shh. I know.) is abnormally large, but I like to think they're all individuals with fleshed out personalities and back-stories. I guess you guys would have to be the judge of that. Seriously, these characters are all I have. ; -; Don't take them away from me. (Yeah, yeah... TL;DR) If you're interested in the type of stories I'd probably be writing: I tend to avoid angst and romance: I have climbed on the angst train before but I can only take it in small doses now before I want to jump off the moon. It can be well-done, I'll admit that, but it's something I have to tiptoe around. Romance... Okay, I'm a romantic at heart so I may have an interest in some romantic tales, but I don't really actively read or write about it. Smut. Happy days! I'm not the first to admit I've read my fair share, but it's highly doubtful that I'll start writing it any time soon. Yeah, I'm too scared. However, I'm more interested in fantasy, crime, adventure, that kind of stuff. I like my comedy subtle and not obnoxious. I'm a sucker for sarcasm and irony (must be a British thing, I dunno). I appreciate the darker, more mature themes in stories, and especially exploration of human flaws, etc. Personal issues and all that. :3 'Cause I'm a horrible person who likes to know that other people suffer. Riiight. The type of fanfictions you might encounter here: (Thisisnotdefinite.Pleasedontsueme.) Teen Titans; X-Men; Hetalia; Dragon Age; The Elder Scrolls (Skyrim); Mass Effect; Jade Empire; Saints Row etc. These are my primary interests, mmkay? I am exploring more material, so there may be more in the future. Note: I don't write about real people. Ever. I do read the occasional fanfiction about real people (e.g Phan), but I wouldn't do it personally. If you made it this far, congratulations. I applaud you. I feel it's time to "explain" my existing stories here. I have deleted a few and I was tempted to delete all of them but I decided that, even if these stories had massive (I mean MASSIVE) flaws with them, it shows that you can always improve. And even if I am slightly embarrassed about a couple, I can find some good things about them (e.g. I think I'm good with conversations - keeping them flowing - (I'll try to ignore the irony here)) to overlook the bad things (My beginnings are usually pretty bad, however I do feel that the story does improve as it progresses; I get more involved in it). (Teen Titans) Forgive Me and Remember Me: honestly, I think I just used these as an excuse to throw in as many OCs as humanly possible. They started off without a plot, but I think I did start getting into them - at least by the end of Forgive Me, anyway. I am a little proud of some of the content - but only after ignoring how terrible and awkward the rest is - so they're not going to disappear. Remember Me is definitely better than its prequel, but I can only sigh at my failure to really portray any character well. They will not continue, and they are also completely VOID now. (Teen Titans) New In Town: I'll be honest; it had a terrible start. Some of it came off really jerky and rushed, because I was trying to introduce as many characters as I could but ignoring advancements to the plot (it did have a plot, believe it or not) to do so. It took a while to get anywhere but I think that it started getting better half-way through and I enjoyed some of the conversations I put in. It will unfortunately (or fortunately) not be continued either. I don't even remember where the story was supposed to go next, and to be honest, it's been around 3 years since I updated it - no one is interested any more. (X-Men Evolution) New Beginnings: the classic example of "bad beginnings". After re-reading it, I could only cringe at the beginning (huh) and just wonder where the hell I was trying to take the story. I put so much effort into building Larissa (my OC main character) up that she looked borderline Mary-Sue (and that's something I NOW definitely try to avoid. I am obsessed with flaws), when I knew that she definitely wasn't anywhere near perfect - I just kept overlooking everything that made her realistic. And when thinking about what I was trying to do with the story, I realised I had failed. I did focus partially on how her memories were "shattered" but I didn't go into it in a way I was happy with. I admit that I did start liking the story half-way - when I saw my writing improve - but by then, I couldn't really enjoy it when I knew the background of the story. Larissa's not someone I want to toss aside, so there's a possibility that I'd like to redo the story and make it more obvious to what I'm trying to do. (Hetalia) Justice: I don't really have anything to say about this one. I neither regret nor appreciate it fully. I think there is definitely a jump in skill from that and my previous stories, but it still could've been better. Hm. I am now wondering if I should elaborate on any future stories that I may be planning. Some of these ideas have been around for a few years yet the furthest I've gone with any of them is a couple of chapters. I do hope to motivate myself to actually write them because they've already taken up large portions of my life. I'm only going to mention the stories that have actually been started - there's still plenty at the back of my mind. (Hetalia) Yellow Brick Road, Dammit (One-shot) - A Spamano fic (T-Rated (no sexy times but lots of swearing)) from Romano's p.o.v. A very casual story that I think makes the characters look more like ordinary humans than countries as our protagonist and his Spanish non-crush crush share a mundane day that shouldn't have any importance, yet proves to be another step towards the development of their relationship from platonic to romantic. So far, I'm around 4,500 words so it's a possibility that it'll show up here eventually, though it is no-where near finished yet. (Elder Scrolls (Skyrim, 4E 201 - 4E 207)) Transition - One of two of my favourite current Fan-fictions that I'm writing. From the p.o.v. of my non-Dragonborn character, Caranyur Elsinthar (Altmer female), who has had some influence in Skyrim during the Dragonborn's (Ertius Cinna (Imperial male)) adventures and later became the Arch-Mage of Winterhold. It's set out as a record; her story is being written by an Imperial scholar, who originally wanted to write down the Dragonborn's conquests, but found an interest in the relationship (platonic) between Dragonborn and Arch-Mage and how their stories actually intertwine with one another. She is my second favourite character out of all of these Fanfictions because she is so obviously arrogant (I just wanted to write from an arrogant perspective, tbh) with many hidden flaws - that, although they will not be addressed during the records, her transition (hey hey) becomes noticeable as her own story progresses. I don't have as much written for this as I would've liked but I definitely have some ideas on how to carry out the story and I'm even considering a sort-of sequel from Ertius' perspective. For the layout, the prologue will start from a third-person perspective but then will become first-person (from Caranyur's p.o.v) as she recites certain stories (or "factual events" as she calls them). You will probably become familiar with jumps as it won't be a linear story and it will jump from her perspective (the record) to the scholar's perspective (the current time). (Elder Scrolls (Skyrim, 4E 204)) Dumb Luck - Potentially from the same universe, this is, instead, a third-person based story focusing on two characters: Astien Ashford (Breton male) and Khazura (Khajiit female). Khazura is the new Guild-master for the Thieves Guild, who's fairly bored with her life, and Astien is an ex-mercenary with a conscience, who's now just looking out for his two younger sisters. Their paths cross when Astien shows up in Riften and demonstrates his pickpocketing skills on Maven Black-Briar, who is none too impressed as she demands the Khajiit to find the thief or she'll be held accountable for the theft. After finding the visitor, Khazura finds herself impressed with Astien's skills and welcomes him into the Thieves Guild - where he'll be able to work off his debt and secure a life for his sisters. This is probably my most concrete story since I've completed at least one chapter (this is a miracle for me), so this will likely prop up before Transition. (Elder Scrolls (Cyrodiil, 4E 203)) Unnamed - I'm sorta contradicting myself here because I have actually lost all evidence of this story but regardless, it centres around an independent, cunning but reckless thief - Idonis Inian (Imperial female) - who seems to only care about herself. Her life is turned upside down when she accidentally murders an enemy of her friend, Hjoldir Battle-Arm, Cyrodiil's Arena Champion. Imprisoned for the murder and destined for execution, Idonis is granted a new opportunity thanks to the Speaker of the newly reformed Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim. She is then given an option: to use her skills and be part of a family of assassins, or meet the executioner's blade. Deciding to live, Idonis is introduced to the Dark Brotherhood and other recent recruits as the Dark Brotherhood starts to rebuild in Cyrodiil. There, she has to make a lot of tough decisions as she lives as a wanted criminal and will have her conscience plagued with each life she takes. I'm really uncertain of when this might make an appearance. It's unlikely that it'll show up before the previous two as I will have to rewrite a large section that was lost. (Dragon Age (Origins)) Unnamed - I literally just have to find a title for this story as I have most of the plot already down and a few chapters already finished. This is probably my favourite Fanfiction I've conceived and I am so ready to present it to the world. A predictable telling of the Grey Warden's adventures in saving Ferelden, but from the p.o.v. of my favourite OC: Ellana "Serenity" Surana (Elf Mage, Female). Brought to the Circle at an early age with just a surname, Surana built a reputation as a sharp-tongued, sarcastic, irresponsible, hot-headed, self-assured virgin-lover who cared little for the consequences and just wanted to revel in her own power (and sexiness). With a strange sensitivity to the Fade, Surana proved to have great potential as a powerful mage, but her reckless behaviour - "free spirit" - forced restrictions to be placed on her and resulted in her to be limited to Creation magic. As a practitioner of bad decisions, Surana finds herself associated with a Blood Mage and now has to leave the tower to become a Grey Warden: a life she was never meant to have. The story follows a more linear-pattern than my others (though I'm trying to avoid implementing 20-hours of game-play into this), and is all from Surana's slightly weird perspective, as she tries to charm her way to victory. I even have a sort-of sequel for this - Amaranthine-based - with a different character as the Warden-Commander, but Surana will be re-introduced because, although her story is over, she is needed to help move someone else's along. (Teen Titans) Unnamed - I really have to start naming these things. Essentially, this story surrounds Raven and an OC, Adrien Ross, as the latter seeks the Titans out to help find a friend that has gone missing - Lilith Moon (no, that's not her real name. Even I'm not that clichéd). The Titans are reluctant at first - it seemed like a job for the police - and were suspicious of how Adrien proved to be vague in most of what he said regarding the situation. Adrien finally reveals that Lilith is no ordinary person; she is a Blood Witch (and a wolf) and was worried that her disappearance is due to her claiming to be hunted. After all attempts at locating and identifying Lilith, Adrien points them towards a powerful witch who Lilith mentioned. Locating her instead, the Titans meet face-to-face with the original Blood Witch - one of the oldest beings in the world and believed to have brought magic to the world (there is a story behind this, dun' worry) - who promises to find Lilith for them in exchange for the recovery of an artifact that was lost in time. Through powerful magic, the witch sends Raven and Adrien back in time where they are introduced to an underground refuge for magic-using beings cast out of society. Together, they find themselves becoming absorbed in ideals and promises of equality and power. However, it may be too late to realise that some leads were never meant to be followed and that their influence could change events forever. I am looking forward to this story, but I am worried that the beginning will be unsatisfactory - as a lot will have to be introduced before Adrien and Raven are even sent back in time, but then I also don't want to rush into things. Ugh. |
