In this solar system there are two planets both inhabited by humans and Pokémon, except that one is more technologically advanced than the other (it had an earlier start to civilization). On this planet, the ill effects of industrialization became so pronounced that the humans (called "sky people" by inhabitants of the other planet) could no longer stay on this planet.
