![]() So, for some reason you made your way to my profile. If you're reading this, then here are some facts about me: Name: Ella Writing Info: I write stories and poems and songs too, sometimes. For my stories I prefer to write and read realistic fiction, although I try other genres every now and then, too. My poem subjects vary from nature to life and so on. I probably won't post stories here because I find it hard to write in the perspective of another author's characters, so the reason I'm on this site is to read fanfiction by authors that CAN write from the perspective of the characters from other authors. Plot Devices and What-Not I Like: I like (most) Character-Reading-The-Book stories, AU stories, slash, time-travel fics, and fanfictions that expand on canon, or explores canon, filling in blanks, stuff like that. I like unique stories about pairings, with unusual plots, stories with good characterization, fluff fics, long fics, and humorous (and occasionally crack-y) fics. But I've liked other FF stories that aren't mentioned in this. Plot Devices and What-Not I Don't Like: Time-travel fics in which one of the characters who goes backwards/forwards in time falls in love with someone in that time (it doesn't particularly matter how the author justifies it, I just find it weird), stories focusing on an OC (It's fine if the OC has to be there to further the plot, but an OC that's a main character? I don't like that because this is fanfiction, where you write stories about characters in the Fandom. In my opinion, if you want to write about your own character, just write a regular story and post it on one of those sites they have for posting regular stories, like WattPad or something), really dark stories, stories with unhealthy relationships, like abusive or manipulative relationships, or non or dub con, stories with characters acting extremely OOC just for the heck of it, stories that have one-note characters (like if one character provides some comic relief in the canon story/movie/play, they act all stupid and immature, for the whole fic), and stories with an overwhelming amount of spelling/grammar mistakes (I know that when you write a story, sometimes you make a spelling/grammar mistake and you don't notice or anything, but if a story has so many I can barely understand the plot, I can't read the story). HOWEVER sometimes if a story is particularly well-written, engrossing, etc., than I can deal with most things, besides OCs (because something about OCs really, REALLY annoy me), one-note characters, excessive OOC for no reason, and abusive/manipulative relationships. I'm SKINNY, so I MUST be anorexic. If you want to read my work, go to Allpoetry.com/JustARose. And if you have any questions you can PM me. Anyways... Ciao! BeforeNotAfter* |
