Well met, dear hearts! I'm Mori, a grammar geek and hypocrite. My noms de plume include Moriah, bardling, badgerling, bellebard, moriahbard, and "that one girl who stays up late writing." Welcome to my little plot in the fanfic realm!

My primary fandoms include Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom of the Opera (Leroux and Kay versions), V for Vendetta, Firefly, Moulin Rouge, Star Wars (original triology), and Star Trek (ToS and DS9). My interest extends to many other books and movies, but these are my favourites.

I sail the good ships Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Lupin/Tonks, Aragorn/Arwen, Faramir/Eowyn, Simon/Kaylee, Sokka/Suki, Worf/Jadzia, Odo/Kira, and V/Evey. For PotC, I ship Will/Liz, but I can enjoy a well-written Jack/Liz or Norrington/Liz pairing as well. For Phantom, I really do think Christine/Raoul is the right pairing in the end, but of course I love reading good Christine and Erik intereactions. For Avatar, I believe nothing until the show makes it canon; I hang out mostly by the Kataang docks, but I glance with interest in the Zutara direction.

I'm not a fan of slash, but I see nothing terrible about it unless the fic author claims it's canon. For me, the original author's word is law. If there's ambiguity or a real same-sex pairing in the original work, however, I say go for it as long as everyone remains in character and you don't get too graphic. AU, of course, brings all sorts of new possibilities, but I still find the best fics keep everyone in character, even if their preferences are different in the alternate universe.

I must beg you to continue to keep an eye on the fic horizon; I know my updates are inexcusably infrequent, but as a mostly-dedicated student and choir geek, I really am busy during most of the school year. And, of course, my muse likes to deny inspiration for one story and instead bombard me with ideas for another, so one fic may lie fallow while new ones flourish.

Merlin's fic will not go unfinished, I say! I WILL COMPLETE THIS STORY! When and how is the issue.
