About me I like to read and occasionally give (constructive) feedback to those that I feel can use some encouragement and kind words. I generally do not read work in process, so I suppose me giving feedback is rare. I considered writing fanfiction for a while, but since I never seem to have the time with my study I've just put that on the back burner until a later date. I mainly read Harry Potter, Avengers/Thor, Sherlock and Dragon Ball Z fanfics. Favourite pairings and explanation I tend not to read M/M and F/F because it usually just ends up in either more angst than I would like OR in shameless smut and I don't 'dig' that. Harry Potter Harry/Anyone but Ginny - I've always felt that J.K. Rowling tried too hard to create the 'perfect' ending. Ginny was indoctrinated by stories about the 'Great Harry Potter' since she was young, you could say she was brainwashed or 'prepared' to become 'Mrs. Potter'. That, and Harry falling for a red head that was somehow alike to his mother makes me think of the Oedipus complex, and that's a big no no either way. Hermione/Anyone but Ron - How could J.K. Rowling pair such a strong heroine, a woman who knows what she wants, with a man that has proven time and time again that he is unreasonably jealous and even lazy? A man who would want her to get children as early as possible? Who treated her badly and only seemed to have befriended her because she could do his homework? I don't get it at all. Fem Harry/Any male - I enjoy reading Fem Harry fics because they usually are more 'old fashioned' and nothing is nicer than to submerge yourself in creative writing. Avengers/Thor Generally I read anything that is Avengers or Thor related, although I have to say that I am a fan of the Ship Darcy with all the things/Darcy is the fandom bicycle genre. Sherlock |
