So, I'm a huge hypocrite. In one of the last updates to my userpage I went on a big spiel about how I wouldn't delete my other two stories for a variety of reasons, and well, as you can probably see by my account having only one story listed, I went back on that promise. I wrote that a few years ago and my mind has changed a fair bit toward things since then. I figured since neither had a big following or would ever be completed, it was time for them to stop taking up space on a site I no longer even visit. Their incomplete status wouldn't be so bad if not for one thing. Both of those works were made with entire plots and endings decided in advance, and I no longer recall any of what I had in mind for them. I suppose I could just make up new plots, but after so long and with such little interest (from both me and the intended audience), I decided to just get rid of them.

On that note, Sororicide will not be removed, now or ever. I say that with absolute certainty, though don't get excited about it. I wish I could tell you I left it up because I finally got the muse for writing it back, but that would be a lie. It's staying up because of how much it was enjoyed by so many people. Unfortunately, I doubt it will ever see a proper conclusion. I just don't have the drive to write fanfiction anymore, and I must have had a dozen different ideas of where to go with it, all of which have been lost to time since I neglected to take any notes. Any additional work I did following the last chapter has also been lost entirely or is tucked away to where I can't find it.

In addition to all of that, I doubt that much of its old following is still around, so I don't have a whole lot of motivation anymore. Not downing on any new fans that may see this, but it was nice to see so many people enjoying the story so much while it was still being written. But then again, I think it'd be nice to give them something to come back to if they ever make their way back to this site, you know? I'm not going to say "never" to this story being finished, because despite everything, it has cropped back up in my mind every now and then over the years. I can't say the same about the other two. So who knows? Maybe one night I'll have some trouble sleeping and do a little bit of writing to relax, and my story Sororicide will happen to be the subject.

Also, while I could just force something onto the page to give it an ending, I don't want to do that. It might not be a big deal to some people, but I want this story to have a good and natural ending. I think it and the people who enjoyed it deserve a proper finale. I don't want any readers to get super excited about an update and then bummed out by a lack of quality, especially after such a long hiatus! I think that would be the ultimate slap to the face, and I just want to avoid that altogether. So while I do want to some day finish this story up for all who have enjoyed it and all who will some day read it, I'd rather see it incomplete than given a bad sendoff. That seems like a good way to ruin a story and I refuse to do it.

One more thing though. If anyone would like to, they can pick up where I left off. I'm not giving my story up for adoption since I do wish to come back to it some day myself, but if anyone has any ideas and they feel like posting them as their own story, they are more than welcome to. I know that you don't need the permission of the author when it comes to fanfiction, but I know some people might be hesitant to do such a thing anyways, so I'm saying it nice and blunt right here on my userpage. If you want to make your own ending to Sororicide and put it up on this site, feel free to do so. You'll hear no complaints from me. Heck, your enthusiasm for my story might just be what I need to kickstart the flow of my own creative juices!

Anyways, while I'm saying don't hold your breath, I will also say don't give up hope until I'm dead. At which point, yeah, it's a safe bet to say it won't be done, haha. Moving back to the subject at the beginning of this little update, maybe some day I'll get back to the other two stories as well, which may seem like an odd thing to say given that I just deleted them. But, contrary to the tone at the beginning, they are not lost forever. I made sure to save them, just in case the muse for either one came back, so I can pick up where I left off instead of starting from scratch. The odds of those two getting finished or even crossing my mind at all outside of reading this post in the future are slim to none, but you never know what can happen. Shoot, it could end up I complete them and not Sororicide.

Huh, now wouldn't that be something? Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read my little update. Sorry it couldn't be the long awaited chapter sixteen of Sororicide! I hope to some day deliver that. Maybe next time I come by here it will be to put that chapter up? But until that day comes, I hope that everyone has been well! Take care everybody!
