Sequel to "Just a Place To Stay". It's been about a year since Bucky showed up looking for Steve. He is remembering his past, and is working on becoming normal again. But that is not as easy as either of them think. Stucky fluff, and some minor lemons.

Bucky Barnes is a Judd Nelson-esque bad boy, smoking, lying, and being generally obnoxious-until he meets the perpetually ill, perpetually kindhearted absolute nerd Steve Rogers. Modern high school AU. Bucky x Steve.

A week after Steve rescued Bucky from Hydra the first time, Steve isn't sure where he stands with his best friend. And Bucky doesn't seem like he's all in one piece. A night away from camp becomes enlightening for the both of them, and leads to a promise that in the distant future even the Winter Soldier can't forget. [Now includes bonus one-shots in the same story-verse.]

The gunman was a silent, patient figure in the early dawn, perched high on the rooftop of an abandoned building, sitting motionless and poised. Waiting. Every morning was the same and the man in the scope was nothing if not predictable in his routine. He was just asking for a bullet in his head and the sniper was amazed no one had taken advantage of the situation sooner.

"Bucky, it's not about learning who you were. It's about learning who you are, now, and trying to be true to that." Steve finally catches up to a traumatized Bucky and nobody is more surprised than the two of them when they don't wind up fighting. Non-romantic pairing but can be read that way, if one prefers. Rated T for some nakedness.

It took four tries, but eventually Steve and Bucky got their feelings in order and shared a proper kiss. But not before three not-so-proper tries. And lots of misunderstandings. And then one day, in the distant future, the Winter Soldier kisses Steve and turns back into Bucky. More or less. They're soul mates, so they'll have plenty of time to work on that.

Bucky tells himself that what he has with Steve is enough. Asexual Bucky/Steve and a lot of pining.

Things became familiar the more he saw. But it was the fall he remembered the best. (Winter Soldier spoilers, probably one of a million.)

He doesn't know why he's here, standing in the middle of the apartment of the man he had been assigned to kill. Rogers thought he knew him but he was wrong. That still doesn't explain why he ended up in his apartment in the middle of the night. No slash, just bromance!

But when it was pronounced, when the secret was revealed, they could not erase the differences and obstacles it placed between them. Or could they?

BeachHead has to train his Greenshirts to fight ninjas.. using the GI Joe ninjas as targets. The return of Private Williams, Snake Eyes as a consultant, and much paintball mayhem.

BH/CG Pls Note: Not implying Rangers are dumb, just that this particular one needs serious assistance in the dating area. Why is he so darned clueless? Is he making an attempt? Very tame.

BeachHead ends up on the wrong end of a grenade. Doc and Lifeline are going to have a very loud, very grumpy problem for a little while. Sorry, Beach, but if you didn't play with high explosives this sort of thing wouldn't happen. M for language.
