Laila, escaping from her war-torn homeland, tries to find a better life in an unwelcome near-future world when she is captured off the shore of one of the ruling super-alliances: the Euro-American Alliance. Put in their residential school, Laila will only encounter even more hardships in this new environment as she is gradually forced to forget and "re-educate" herself.
