Twenty years ago, the prince disappeared from the gardens where he played, abducted by his uncle.

Fifteen years ago, the royal family were slaughtered and the castle captured by the overthrowing rebel forces.

Ten years ago, the rebels crowned a new king, and life continued as normal.

Five years ago, rumours began to circle of a stranger in the north who spoke of his birthright.

One year ago, the prince and his uncle drove the rebels and their false king from Angeles and reclaimed the throne.

Now - the hidden prince has announced his Selection, to find his queen.

A few details about the royal family to allow you a glimpse into the story:

Prince Hadrian: At twenty one years old, he is the heir to the throne. He was abducted from the palace as a child by his uncle, and his parents believed him dead at the time that they were killed by a rebel incursion in the palace. In actuality, however, his uncle had been raising him in secret safety, and when he reached the age of eighteen they began to fight back against the rebels. He is charismatic, mercurial and a little bit lost regarding his place in life.

Lord Regent Trajan: Hadrian's uncle, brother to the dead king, at forty years old Trajan has spent more than half of his life on the run. After regaining control of the throne, he assumed temporary control of the nation as Hadrian's regent until it was felt the prince was ready for that role. Thoughtful, confident and intelligent, he has survived on his wits for long enough that he is not to be underestimated despite his affable demeanour.

Lady Drosida: Trajan's illegitimate daughter and Hadrian's only other surviving relative at nineteen years old, Drosida is almost as beautiful as she is self-assured, as elegant and graceful as she is selfish, alternately bluntly honest and slyly cunning, always ready to exchange barbed comments with her cousin or arrange wagers on the result of their fencing matches. She is the closest thing Hadrian has to a sister.
