Every Saturday morning Regina has breakfast at the diner and prefers none other than Red as her server. Over time, and after many conversations, the young werewolf intrigues her, and Regina finds out that Red holds a similar interest. Red Queen.

After the events that brought the people of the Enchanted Forest back to the real world with a new curse, circumstances led Ruby to decide some time away from Storybrooke was needed. On her return she finds that much has changed, even if a few important things haven't.

An AU full length story written in honor of Red Queen Week 2015. It is the day before the curse hits and Red is desperate to find something, an item that will later remind her of what really matters in life and of the price she's willing to pay to protect it. In doing so, both she and Regina will learn that life is a circle that has very strange ways of coming back together.
