ZA, AU - Daryl runs into Carol and Sophia one night shortly before society begins to crumble. Their relationships, and canon events, are re-imagined as a result. Total AU, no ZA happening. A world where Daryl and Carol are both living in the same Atlanta apartment house. Carol and Sophia have just left Ed, and Daryl is their new next door neighbor. Straight romance.

What if there was a way to prevent the events that brought the group to the prison? What if there was a way to save every single person they have lost along the way? What if second chances at the end of the world actually existed? Will they be strong enough to save the others? This story has given me many sleepless nights but I think it has been worth it.

Daryl goes on a run with Carol and Merle. On the way back they encounter something straight out of a bad horror movie, that trumps the walkers they've grown to know and loath. Set in season 3. Was going to be an entry to a challenge but I went way over the word limit. Rated M for Merle mouth and... Merle humor.

Daryl tries to come to terms with the loss of his brother and, of course, it is a journey he strongly believes he should walk alone. But when she finds him there, next to her own grave, her kindness guides him out of the dark. Sometimes, in mourning, we see things in a different light. It doesn't have to be understood right away to be real.
