 Hey there! If you're reading this profile, I probably reviewed your story, coz I'm honestly more of a critic here than a writer. I love reviewing other stories, I think all writers deserve to be encouraged for the awesome work they do (especially fanfic writers who are basically offering free of cost therapy... couldn't thank you guys enough, you're awesome!) I also think constructive criticism is the best gift any reader can give an author, so I'm never gonna praise a story just for the sake of it OR stay mum about its flaws. I usually am soft-spoken and encouraging, but I apologise in advance if my words ever come across as rude - that is never the intention, I can assure you. Here, have a vitual cookie from me! Here are some of the (MANY) fandoms that I'm most strongly a part of: Books: Percy Jackson/HoO, TV shows: Sherlock, Supernatural, Merlin, The Vampire Diaries (also ex-BBTian) Movies: Anything Disney/DreamWorks/Pixar. 'Nuff said. Also anything Star Trek and Marvel and DC (dunno if they should go under movies or TV shows, take your pick) Some simple opinions I have :- I love relationships that have so much of the bromance/friendship factor that they can just as easily be considered romances, and I love reading about these relationships from both these aspects. Examples are Merlin-Arthur, John-Sherlock, Dean-Castiel. I am a Delena fan, through and through. Although I do love Stefan (though I have my moments of intense hatred for him) and see the potential that Stelena had, but... it was always just Delena for me. They just had that thing, y'know? I am still waiting for King Arthur to come back to his good-for-nothing manservant whom we all know he cannot do a day without. I know he will, of course, I'm just hoping it happens before I DIE. I'm a sucker for sibling relationships. Gimme some Winchester brothers or some Sherlock-Mycroft and I'm good. Just like that. In the MCU, Tony is not allowed to be shipped with ANYONE apart from Pepper. It's forbidden. Because #Pepperony forever. (Ok I just realised that Endgame ended their forever. Excuse me while I go cry myself to death for the 547th time over that stupid movie... arbgwtbrghh!!) In the MCU, after Pepperony, Romanogers are my OTP. As much as I loved Steve/Peggy in The First Avenger, there's a reason why the past is called that. It's PAST, it's gone, and you need to let it go too, Steve. Peggy moved on and had a family. Steve KISSED her fucking niece (excuse my language, desperate times call for desperate measures). It just can't happen anymore, I'm sorry. Plus, Nat and Steve had too much chemistry in The Winter Soldier for me to accept that out-of-nowhere ridiculous relationship that was Brutasha in AoU (yeah, I'm done writing the full movie names now. If you're reading this, you know what I'm talking about anyway.) No offence to Brutasha fans. For me, these are the equations: Nat and Hawkeye: Best friends till the end of the line. Friendship that is so much deeper than just friendship (but still is just friendship... no shipping). Love their dynamic. Steve and Peggy: Perfection, but IN THE PAST Steve and Nat: OTP Nat and Bruce: Friends, teammates who respect and admire each other for their respective skill-sets. Nothing more going on here. Steve and Sharon: Bnmlkfxvjkdf just a random whatever thrown at us to make things weird and confusing. I'm still not sure whom I ship more with Tessa. Every time I make up my mind on one boy, damn girl goes and gets a scene with the other one, messing up my heart again. Urgh! For me, though, Will Herondale it is. Jem is my brother and best friend, just as close to me as he is to my Will 3 Also, can we just have a round of applause for Charlotte Branwell for her sheer kickassness? Percabeth: Once the OTP that I was a diehard fan of, now just a couple I accept as canon. They are also as canon as it gets, which means no shipping Percy with anyone else. Percy-Jason: Here's the thing. Percy is the coolest person of the entire two series (with only the flaming Leo Valdez giving him competition), as badass as it gets. The guy literally defeated the god of War? When he was twelve? Also he went to Tartarus and back. Basically, he does impossible things like it's nothing more than having some blue cereal for breakfast. On the other hand... we have Jason. The "hero" who is perfect in every way, trained since he was six years old and all rule-abiding citizen of the law, never doing anything wrong... except that he ultimately spends a majority of the time knocked out one way or the other. He had a year at Camp HB and still was constantly overshadowed by the memories the folks had of Percy, even though they were pretty welcoming from the beginning. While here at Camp Jupiter, Percy just had a week - a week - to settle in, and he ended up finishing a quest, bringing back the precious flag of the Fifth Legion AND ultimately being declared (unanimously, may I add) Praetor, when the Romans weren't even much friendly. |
