![]() Author has written 2 stories for D.Gray-Man. Hey there! *waves* Formerly known as DragonSabre, then as Discordant Silence (temporary names, as I tried to find myself). I've always been an avid reader (books, manga, fanfiction ), but not too much of a writer. I have a bunch of half-finished stories floating around my computer, but few of them ever get finished, much less posted to the internet. XD Notable manga/anime interests, in chronological order of discovery: Inuyasha, Naruto, Code Geass, D.Gray-man. Other Info: I have a strange fascination with characters' backstories. What really draws me into a good story is characterization, unique and complex... For some reason, it's always the secondary major characters that capture my interest the most. For Inuyasha, they were Sango and Sesshoumaru, Naruto: Itachi, Bleach: Ukitake and Byakuya, Code Geass: Xingke, D.gray-man: Lenalee and Kanda. (None of them as pairings, I list them as individuals.) Is it because the main character(s) have had too much canon development but the minor characters don't have enough of a persona to weave stories about? Hmm, quite possibly. Admittedly, I also have a thing for tall, dark, handsome, long-haired guys. XD I generally prefer the canon pairings, and I don't have an OTP... While I'm pretty open to reading non-canon relationships, I don't write romance myself. Not enough experience to draw from, ahaha. *sheepish grin* Having an excellent plot helps a story along tremendously, but in the end, a main purpose of having plot is so the characters get to be thrown into different situations and subsequently change and grow. =D A bit of a twisted take on things, I know, but I thrive on character interactions, so much that it extends into my real life sometimes and I find myself half-consciously evaluating my friends' interactions and wondering how they'd react if this and that happened. I started writing for D.Gray-man because of the amazing dynamic of the cast. My favourites are Kanda and Lenalee, on a non-romantic level. They bring a whole hash of cuteness/sorrow/darkness/heartwarming to the drawing board, not to mention there's a ton of room for expansion.
