![]() Author has written 3 stories for Batman Begins/Dark Knight, and Soul Eater. This bio glip has not been edited so if you stumble upon any spelling or grammatical errors then I apologize in advance. Hello, if you've somehow stumbled onto my page I am sorry. Haha, I'm going to assume you found my stories and would like to know some things about the person behind the stories. My name on here is Shrieker of The Night, my real name is Selena, and I was around 13-15 when I wrote the stories posted. I am now 19 years old, freshman in college, soon to be entering my second year to become a nurse. That is me now, I feel though, for you to understand the stories I wrote you should know a little bit about the girl I was when they were written. Around 13-15 I was entering into the scene/emo subculture and was obsessed with the Dark Knight, specifically the Joker. I still enjoy the Batman realm, but that's neither here nor there. Then, I had basically wrote fanfictions as a means to insert myself into the realm. I was literally implanting myself into the stories, I, of course, tweaked a lot of things and thus my Mary-Sue characters were born. Now, looking back, I can see how bad the stories were but I'm honestly kind of impressed, for a 13 year old I was a pretty good writer, though it was obvious that I was 13. Today, I don't do a lot of writing, though I wish I did. That's really all I have the energy to write about myself. Alright so that is the basics... Now a little more and then I'm done. • I spent a lot of my pre-adolescence dealing with depression and a cocktail of other problems: suicide, self-harm, PTSD, stuff along those lines. • I banter and ramble a lot. One of my down-falls. I'm extremely long-winded. • I love the word "honestly". • I overuse adverbs. • I love classic literature, but also have a guilty pleasure for young adult fiction. I don't admit to it openly but I, at one point, was a TwiHard. Hate all you want, I don't really care. • I love Alice Sebold's work in the memoir Lucky • I had my first experience with death a little over two years ago. It was really hard for me, seeing as it was someone so close to me, and it was really hard to move on. I, eventually, came to terms with it and it has really taught me to appreciate life and it's one of the things that really inspired me to become a nurse. My writing is always evolving, I wouldn't say that it's changing because there's a piece of myself in all of my writing, and I have a very clear tone and voice. If anything, my worldview is what's evolved as well as my understanding of the English language and literature.• In all honestly (haha, there we go again) I'm just your average person. Oh and to my own horror shall keep my older stories up, so if I post anything new, you can see the differences in my writing style. |
