I discovered fanfiction in the mid-90s, at the height of my crazy, X-Phile phase. Needless to say, when my parents found out some of the things their twelve year old daughter was reading, they were not too pleased, but I kept finding ways to sneak onto the Annex and the Gossamer Project so I could gobble up as much fanfic as possible. I even tried to do a bit of writing, but that was almost two decades ago, and I was a better reader than a writer back then. I recently went back to read the piece I posted on Gossamer as a pre-teen, and the reading experience was excruciating, to say the least.

Now I freely read fanfic, and I am feeling a bit more confident in my writing capabilities. There have been ideas sitting up there in that noggin of mine and now seems as good a time as any to give it a go.

Other than that, I love teaching, being outdoors, spending time with my dogs and daughter, driving my husband insane, travel, photography, and exploring how far I can take my nerdy and crunchy sides.
